Re: Charging disappeared from app

Yes its back now, however one thing I've noticed, I can't reduce the current from the app. I can select reduced charge current, but it has no effect whatsoever on the speed of charge.

Charging disappeared from app

In the app for the id3, I can control the air con, but this morning my charge level has disappeared. Anyone got any idea how I can get it back? Checked settings and can't see anything. Nothing changed on the car. I deleted car from we connect, nothing.

Re: Tyre Wear

Mine were replaced at 8000 the fronts were still just about legal the rears were below. I kept the fronts for emergencies. I replaced them with Michelin ePrimacies which have done 10,000 so far and look like new. (ish) Yes! The Bridgestones are absolutely garbage. My fronts on bridestones went at 1...

Re: A warning about houses fuses

I think it also just depends on your DNO. I didn't just need a new fuse, I had to be completely unlooped from my neighbour and this required lots of work, and I now have a 3-phase supply. This was done free of charge by Scottish Power Energy Networks, but as I understand, some DNOs will charge for ...

A warning about houses fuses

I recently had an incident with my home charger, and it's worth reading and checking on this in your homes as I've heard of this happen to someone else. If you didn't know this, aside from your main fuse box (or consumer unit if you have proper breakers like most modern units) there is the main home...

Re: RCBO Tripping

Just an update on a post I started at the end of last year. Pod Point came out and checked the RCBO out a couple of weeks ago and said all was fine. It tripped at 24 milliamps I believe is what the Electrician said? As no faults showed up he changed the circuit board in the wall unit which was grea...

Re: User Change not available and stuck

Assuming this switching user thing is on a newer version of the software (in 2.3 I can't do that). For now, don't switch users, speak to your dealer about it.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

I haven't been on here for ages, my dealership never contacted me about 2.4, I had absolutely no idea. Absolutely useless. I think you'll find your sealer will only mention it if your car goes in for something else but even then they might not do it as there seems to some lengthy delays with some d...

Re: Difference in consumption and battery level

I think you have misunderstood what you are seeing. I tend to believe the consumption data, except in the case when the car has been preheated for departure - this seems to be partly accounted for but I think not fully. What you can't do accurately is calculate a start and end kWh energy content in...

Re: Sitting in the car - how do you turn it off?

If the car is cold it will still be using high amounts of battery even though you have turned heating off and turned the ignition off (don't believe me, go to data while you're sat there, will be drawing around 6 kwh/h because the battery is very cold. What I do is turn everything off, open the doo...

Re: Difference in consumption and battery level

I have a suspicion that it doesn't account for certain things. I need to do more testing on it in different conditions but if you for example put the heating on before you get in the car (either plugged in or not) I get the impression this throws it off massively. I want to test it more in summer wh...

Re: Unexplained reduced range

I think it does. If I’m on a motorway trip the range plummets to start with then stabilises. This would suggest it’s adjusting to a new m/kWh. It doesn't. I was on a motorway the other day driving a little faster than I should have been. Consumption read as 2.8 miles per kwh and I'd been going that...

Re: Beware the congestion charges in London

You won't go anywhere near ULEZ. My car was already known as ULeZ though, but I had to show them the V5C to register as free for congestion and I have to renew once a year. Why? They know its an electric car!

Re: Id3 fastest charge so far

Interesting as your charge curve suggests slow down after 80%, mine kept going at 40 kw after 80% until 85, then I stopped charge. Fastest ever was 84kw I believe at a 150kw shell charger just outside of chipping Norton with 14%. But it's all relative. Most of the time I'm getting around 50 when I c...

Re: Unexplained reduced range

I do wish it was smarter with the range. It bases it on previous driving , weather conditions and air con being on etc. However would be it too much to ask to have current consumption factored in? If I'm a motorway I don't care about my theoretical range, the car knows I'm doing 3.4 miles per kilowa...

Do you have to be reimbursed by the mile? Can you not submit the receipts for charging? Or is it a bit like petrol? You can't put in a petrol receipt I seem to remember.

Re: Pod Point low charge speed when scheduling

Yes, well documented issue. Thankfully I had a newer pod point so I can schedule charging. Scheduled charging in the car is very hit and miss. Sometimes has low charging speeds, sometimes doesn't. If you're like me it even once forgot where the car was and locked me out of the schedules completely a...
