Re: Electric drive error & can’t switch car off/lock it

Seems to have been a faulty abs sensor. Not had a repeat of that particular error since. However, it has been back in as front assist error kept appearing and it did an emergency stop mid drive at 25mph for no reason. They have updated the car’s sensors apparently so fingers crossed this doesn’t ha...

RCBO Tripping

I have had my Pod Point Solo for around a year now and occasionally it fails to charge because the RCBO trips randomly in the charge cycle. Last night it was at 53% from a 46% SoC. Sometimes it may trip at 78%!!! It is happening more frequently in recent weeks, maybe 1 in 4 charges fail. I have logg...

Re: Safety Fail. driver side door open and car moves off

Mine did this the other day. I had the drivers door open and engaged drive, leant out to see how close I was to the edge of my drive as space was tight and the car crept away. I assumed that I hadn't pressed the brake pedal hard enough to engage auto hold. I will try it again later to check it out.

Great news. Last update from my dealer was that my grant was still showing as valid despite the order now being 13 months old.

Re: Delivery time

It's going to be interesting seeing if people that have ordered their cars after the August cut off for the Grant VW communicated actually get the £2.5k I have a feeling dealerships have been told to try and get customers to cancel. The fact my dealership is now taking orders for ID5's before even ...

Long Weekend in Southampton

Just for info. I just returned from Eastleigh Southampton having spent a few days there in a Village Hotel. Pleasantly surprised that the hotel has 6 x 7 kW podpoint chargers that are free to use for guests. The chargers didn’t appear in the podpoint or zapmap apps. Good base for access into the New...

Re: Incorrect range reported in the App.

I’m seeing more and more reports of this issue on various Facebook groups, it does appear to be a 3.0 bug, guess we’ll have to wait for VW to push out an update. Finding the same issue on the Born running 3.0. Cupra digital suggested reinstalling the app but it made no difference. The server still ...

Re: Delivery time

I had an update today and was advised that my build date has been revised from week 34 to 00 no status. Sales also advised that the plant is on or entering a 4 week shutdown? and that they are finding it difficult to get any information at all.

Re: Why does preconditioning take so much power?

I assume the 224 miles was with the climate, aircon off. Then after the 10 mins preconditioning you got in the car with it on. You would see a significant hit in that circumstance especially if the car was working hard to get to 18degs. Yeah your assumptions are correct. I guess I thought why would...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

Deviating a little. I experienced emergency braking from my Born yesterday. I was moving very slowly passed parked cars in a retail park and as I passed someone loading their boot my car just stopped dead. At first I thought for a split second I had hit an object like a high curb but the car must ha...

Re: Charging options, 1/2/3-phase

Hi Getting a new '22 Pro Performance soon, and planning a charger for it. However, I only have 2x16A available for the charger (1-phase used for other appliances). Q: does the ID onboard charger input work with 2x16A charging, or will it just use it as 1x16A? Thanks. (Charger: Webasto Pure II) Hi R...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

Which one did you go for? V1 in vapor grey and typhoon 19" alloys. Now I've got to take the animated wing mirror repeaters I fitted a couple of weeks ago off, so I can put them on the Born. Excellent, same as me but different colour then. I got the invite for my ID3 battery and software upgrad...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

I am so glad I switched. So, can I ask, does your V2 have the heated steering wheel? And a reversing camera? Been thinking, and the extra 50hp was £1300 extra on the iD.3, and the 18" East derry alloys were £650, so there's the justification for the extra £2k to change right there! Plus there'...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born

So both dealers told me the V1 doesn't come with a heated steering wheel, but the spec in the brochure says it does! Anyone confirm if it does, or doesn't? I jumped into a V2 and have yet to cancel my 2nd ID3 that has been on order since 09/09. I don't know a great deal about the V1 spec but the in...
