Re: Delivery time
Update from my dealer today.
Build week 34 August. October delivery.
That is 1 month outside of the grant 12 month cut off.
Makes no sense. Skilldo in the post above ordered 1 week after me and has a build week of 20.
Hi Utumno. Can you please update my details.
Many thanks. Dave

Re: Hello
Hi Jimboc Welcome to the forum. If you have an order number (see other posts under the heading of "delivery time") you can get a feel for what's happening around your order. A kind soul, Utumno, has been keeping a spread sheet tracking orders and deliveries that he shares as a link here on...

Re: Delivery time
Hello, I am new here. :) I ordered my ID.3 Family Pro Performance on the 8th of October Update of 04/03/22: "Your current estimated production week is 21 of 2022. Therefore we may look for delivery around the end of June or beginning of July... Your order number is 31505xxx". Not sure how...

Re: ‘Clunking’ sound when sitting and getting out of driver’s seat
No such noises in either or Life or Family ID3. I wonder whether it's something they managed to attenuate on later models? It is an unusual noise. At first it sounded to me as if it was a suspension spring mount seating as I got in or something of that nature. Ours were both built around Feb 21. I ...

Re: ‘Clunking’ sound when sitting and getting out of driver’s seat
Mine does the same and has done since day one. I think it's the combination of the seat sensor and presence of keys that enables some kind of main electrical contactor. That has always been my guess. I'm surprised that there has not been more discussion about it on these threads. I'm sure someone he...

Re: 20" Sanya wheels
Thanks Andrew. That's useful. Mine are 215x50 so not a huge difference. The Z4 rear are 30s.andrewparker wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 4:40 pm The Sanyas still have 45 section tyres, so quite chunky compared to what most 20” rims would have.

Re: Delivery time
I ordered early September and don't have a build week. The dealer update a way back just spoke of an estimated May build but I expect that to slip.
My next update is due at the end of April.

Re: 20" Sanya wheels
It's a set of 4 without tyres. The sellers quote a VW part No 10A601025B, new not used. I suspect they may be unbranded. I'm not going to let that put me off at the moment and dig a little deeper. I don't want to lose a lot of ride quality. I drove my Z4 e89 on run-flat Bridgestones for 4 years and ...

20" Sanya wheels
I'm really like the look of the 20" sanya alloy on the ID3 but wondered what the ride was like versus the Andoya 19" rim. The Sanya wasn't an option on the Life Pro Perf when I got my car but I have seen quite a few sources for sanya wheels from Germany for around £1,000 Inc postage. I lik...

Re: Granny Charger with extension lead.
Experts, is it okay to use a granny charger with an extension cable (I vaguely recall seeing advice not to)? Does anybody do it? I am thinking as an occasional emergency, not regular use. Tia. I think its ok providing emergency doesn't become the norm. I also bought an emergency extension from Scre...

Re: Charging to the max
Not sure why you are charging to 6am is that an ‘intelligent octopus’ thing? I charge to 80% under octopus Go, 4:30am. Then put it on Manual charge when I get up say 8:30am. It’ll be at near 100% at 11am when you leave. But generally the occasional 100% for a few hours won’t do any noticeable harm....

Re: Newbie and worried about the bugs
Had my car since the end of December 2020.
My only niggle is one section of the folding rear seat back rattles on certain road surfaces.
On the original SW 0594? there were some little niggles but none that stopped the car being a great pleasure to drive.

Re: How to charge an id3 between 0.30-4.30.
I also have a Pod-Point charger. Once their app allowed scheduled charging I started to us it. However although it sometimes worked just fine, on other occasions the care didn't charge as scheduled. I then watched it and noticed the light on the plug-in connection on the car switched from white to ...

I'm the same as Cynicme i use the Podpoint app to set the timing making sure every day has a timing slot set and it works perfectly I'm the same. Can't fault my podpoint. Nov 16th 21 until now 100%. No settings in car. Everyday programmed in the app. Occasionally I switch the schedule off to do an ...

"All these answers show us why VW gave us a choice between D and B - so everyone can choose for themselves. As usual I agree with monkeyhanger - but my reasoning is different. As a teenager I used my bicycle to go to school. I'd let the bike coast down hills as fast as it wanted and - hopefull...
