Those issues are what finally led me to look for a Cupra Born from stock. It seems like a lottery and I don't gamble. So irritating.

Re: D versus B safety
I use both B and D a lot. No preference in general, just how I feel on the day and the journey. When I lift I have 2 modes. If I'm just controlling speed in true one pedal mode my foot doesn't leave the accelerator. If I'm using B as a brake my foot is off of the pedal and covering the brake pedal a...

Re: Delivery time
Update from my dealer today. Still at status 00, this is bloody ridiculous now. God knows if the government grant will still be applied if this goes over 12 month. Despite the ridiculous wait, it may be too expensive for me as I’m leasing it. What’s your thoughts on this? Would the payments go up a...

Re: Utumno's Tesla Model Y has arrived !
Several of you following the near 12 month saga of our VW ID.3 Tour order, culminating in the purchase of a Tesla Model Y after SWMBO threw her toys out of the pram asked for off-topic confirmation that we finally have our EV. Well, we do, I collected it on Saturday just gone, and we couldn't be ha...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
I collected my Born V2 L Pack on Wednesday. It was a stock vehicle in Twickenham and with the equity in my Life Pro Perf it seemed sensible to cash in and get the Born. Vertu had called me to soften me up to the fact I would lose the £2,500 gov grant and if I waited until Oct Nov for my new ID3 the...

Yes I'm in. Took me best part of a day to get the app up and running but had no issues with sign in.

Re: Delivery time
I had a call from my dealer today advising that my car is very likely to arrive beyond the 12 month time limit for the Gov grant. My car was ordered on the 9th of Sept and is expected to be delivered in October. They remain confident that they can work on the package to offset the loss. I am in the ...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
That's the E-Boost one looking at the steering wheel - Lol 1st time seeing that, those buttons are subtle !!! I do the same. My ID3 came from Nottingham, 170 mile trip. My Niece holds our family record. 400 miles to Edinburgh for an Evoke. Is that an Electric Mini moke? (Sorry) Was that a spelling ...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
I've just rang Snows, mainly to see if they have an Aurora blue one, awaiting a callback, but if red is all they have, i'd rather have the white (even though red is quite nice - I prefer non metallic red, like Polo Flash Red or Golf Tornado Red). Snows might've been handy for me as My parents moved...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Is that a couple of Ducatis in the background? I do think the Born looks a little better in white than the ID3 does. That's the E-Boost one looking at the steering wheel - Get your greasy Mitts off my car! Go on, you can sit in it, just don't fart on the drivers seat! The one thing that bothe...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Someone on Facebook yesterday/ this morning posted that a dealer in Southampton has four Borns available including two 230s (all 58kwh). In case Dave wants to investigate. Good Shout! Called Snow's on my way to Twickenham but they don't have a white one. I wanted white on my last three cars and set...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
Motorway book my car at £32,800. 18 months old 8,300 miles. The deal is typically a bit of ducking and diving to get a monthly figure that I wanted. On paper they are offering me close to £32,000 which tbf is £2,500 more than I paid 18 months ago. I'm not in a rush so if you pass on the e boost I w...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
V2 204hp 58kw n white at Twickenham. I wanted the e boost as said but it seems like a good deal and I stand to lose my grant on the ID3 I have on order since Sept and when it does come the used market may have changed significantly and my equity greatly reduced. I forgot you already had an ID3 to t...

Re: Direct Comparison to the Cupra Born
I've only gone and done it... That car on Autotrader at Twickenham which didn't exist, it actually does exist - it was being brought in as a demo and the general sales team weren't aware of it, but the sales manager says they have it and its available as early as this weekend. I said I was awaiting...
