Re: Pre-Purchase Help Requested

Reviewers have generally suggested that the larger wheels give a firmer ride (perhaps because their lower profile tyres result in a smaller air cushion between the wheel and the road?). I find my 19" wheels give a fairly firm ride but on decent road surfaces it's very smooth and comfortable, wh...

Re: Trip computer?

Hmm. You've raised an interesting issue. I see what you mean. The 'Long Term' figures aren't the lifetime of the car, though. Mine is showing the mileage I've done since it had its 2.1 software update. I haven't tried resetting it. The odometer reading you see in the instrument binnacle is the lifet...

Re: Auto Locking

Not sure about the Family Edition, my 1st Edition certainly doesn't have this feature. I can lock the car just by touching the indent on the surface of the door handle, though, so long as I have the key in my pocket. What I would like, and hope for, is a function to lock or unlock the car using the ...

Re: Trip computer?

I think the screen that Scott has pointed you to does provide Journey time and Journey distance, if you're looking at the 'since start' page. I think it gives average speed too, unless my memory fails me.

Re: Recommend home charger

My Zappi cost me over £900. You got a tremendous bargain, well done. And my installer didn't even do a good job, I had to do some remedial work after he finished.

Falling in love again...

I've had my 1st Edition for six months now, and in lockdown haven't done much mileage. Finally I've been able to change that. I have just returned from a week's break in Devon and the car has been a major part of the enjoyment of the holiday for me. So delightful to drive. I charged to 100% before s...

Re: Flashing red lights on remote

The key contains an Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) transducer, and a motion sensor. When the key moves, it tries to talk to the car to establish its position relative to the car. If you put the key down, once it's been stationary for a little while it stops 'talking' and the red tell-tale stops blinking. Of ...

1973 Nostalgia

https://youtu.be/RcpdN3WppxQ So... in 1973 you could buy an Austin Allegro for £1000, or a VW Passat for not very much more. And the slightly patronising presenter doesn't seem to think the Passat is much better than the Allegro.... My father had a Passat of this generation, with one of the first D...
