Should be 2-3 Days. Mine went in Monday morning and apparently all done, picking it up end of today as all done.

Replacement Charging Cables
I need to replace my ID3 Type 2 to Type 2 cable. I was supposed to have it covered under warranty, but apparently some scratches on a cable that I've had for 2.5 years means that it's damaged beyond repair in VW's eyes. But I have to twist it around a few times to get it to charge. Has anyone bought...

Re: Timed charging 3.2
I didn't know it was an issue until now, had this with my pod point charger a couple of times.
How have you got 3.2? I got upgraded to 2.4 back in March but I hadn't heard anything about 3.2

Re: Batterygate! ?
So I checked this morning, 30% battery added (17.4 kwh in theory) and 16.7 kwh supplied to the car from my home 7kwh charger. So a loss of around 5%. If the number of KWH supplied by your charger was indeed 16.7, and actually increased the charge level by 30% then your usable battery capacity is < ...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
I'm confused. What software should we be on? I'm still on 2.4 after the battery change and not seen an update since.

Does all of this then mean we're getting even less range than we thought we would get? Are the numbers they quote for overall range not factoring in a...

Re: Batterygate! ?
Following this thread, I just found there is another factor as well for AC charging I have a SyncEV charge point and until I switched to Intelligent Octopus I was going by the kWh it reported. However, now I am on IO, IO reports roughly 5% less usage (from the smart meter) than the SyncEV does thro...

Re: Batterygate! ?
Finding this post and then looking at my post from yesterday now makes more sense. That being said, it's not very helpful is it? If I'm doing a journey I want to know what miles per kwh I need to do in order to achieve how far I need to go. Now I know I need to pretty much account for a 10% loss in ...

Re: Difference in consumption and battery level
Okay, so it's been a while since I posted on here (6 months since the above where I mentioned the difference I'm getting vs the advertised) and I've got a bit of an update on this. I've recorded it a few times recently, and I've probably only done around 6,000 miles since writing that (I've now owne...

Re: Battery Range
Here's how I do it now I've coveted 26,000 miles over two years. If I drive sensibly on a motorway (I.e. sit at 60 with the lorries) in winter I can get about 3.1-3.2 miles per kwh on average. You can also help yourself by pre heating cabin etc. However I rarely charge my car to 100% as I don't need...

Re: Charging disappeared from app
Yes its back now, however one thing I've noticed, I can't reduce the current from the app. I can select reduced charge current, but it has no effect whatsoever on the speed of charge.

Charging disappeared from app
In the app for the id3, I can control the air con, but this morning my charge level has disappeared. Anyone got any idea how I can get it back? Checked settings and can't see anything. Nothing changed on the car. I deleted car from we connect, nothing.

Re: Tyre Wear
Mine were replaced at 8000 the fronts were still just about legal the rears were below. I kept the fronts for emergencies. I replaced them with Michelin ePrimacies which have done 10,000 so far and look like new. (ish) Yes! The Bridgestones are absolutely garbage. My fronts on bridestones went at 1...

Re: A warning about houses fuses
I think it also just depends on your DNO. I didn't just need a new fuse, I had to be completely unlooped from my neighbour and this required lots of work, and I now have a 3-phase supply. This was done free of charge by Scottish Power Energy Networks, but as I understand, some DNOs will charge for ...

A warning about houses fuses
I recently had an incident with my home charger, and it's worth reading and checking on this in your homes as I've heard of this happen to someone else. If you didn't know this, aside from your main fuse box (or consumer unit if you have proper breakers like most modern units) there is the main home...

Re: RCBO Tripping
Just an update on a post I started at the end of last year. Pod Point came out and checked the RCBO out a couple of weeks ago and said all was fine. It tripped at 24 milliamps I believe is what the Electrician said? As no faults showed up he changed the circuit board in the wall unit which was grea...

Assuming this switching user thing is on a newer version of the software (in 2.3 I can't do that). For now, don't switch users, speak to your dealer about it.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
I haven't been on here for ages, my dealership never contacted me about 2.4, I had absolutely no idea. Absolutely useless. I think you'll find your sealer will only mention it if your car goes in for something else but even then they might not do it as there seems to some lengthy delays with some d...

Re: Difference in consumption and battery level
I think you have misunderstood what you are seeing. I tend to believe the consumption data, except in the case when the car has been preheated for departure - this seems to be partly accounted for but I think not fully. What you can't do accurately is calculate a start and end kWh energy content in...
