Re: Software 2.2?!?

I doubt this. My dealer told me the whole point of 2.1 was so that after that all updates are over the air Yes, that is what I understood as well so I asked again and got the same answer... We shall see ;) - my car has been taken off to some far flung garage with a 12V battery error and I have a VW...

Software 2.2?!?

So my ID.3 has got a 12V battery error telling me to take it for service - VW Assist is coming to recover it. However, whilst phoning around trying to find a dealer who could deal with it I spoke to VW MK and was told that 2.2 is now released for install but not OTA! Has anybody else heard this?

Re: Octopus Tariffs

Shame the best estimate they can give me for a Smart meter install is 'around 12 months.. ' I changed from Bulb to Octopus as they got me a smart meter more quickly but I haven't been able to download any half hour readings since December 28th! Octopus haven't managed to read it either and after a ...

Re: 2.1 upgrade software has been updated

The dealer says that 2.1 has been installed, but had no documentary proof - just salesman ‘word’ How can I verify this, other than the bug fixes is there any single obvious 2.1 software feature I can establish is present. Where do I look for an installed software code? Many thanks Look under settin...

Re: Granny Charger

I only get 7 or 8 mph with my granny charger. If I switch on the AC to warm the car up this then drops to 2 mph! The plug does get warm but not excessively. My Granny Charger was £165 from Screwfix - couldn't justify the Zappi chargers etc when we're mostly at home but I'm on Octopus so i use Alexa ...

I think that I can't get a retrofit on my 1st? Anybody have any experience of this?

Re: New ID.3 with Transport Hitch/Bicycle Carrier Prep

I had my first outing yesterday with Thule bike rack fitted. Everything worked well. The only issue was that I couldn't get the key out of the tow bar lock. Amy ideas? I have an Atera rack - the key is stuck in unless you have fully locked the rack. When attaching the rack to the tow hitch this oft...

Re: 12v battery life

So... ID.3 upgraded to 2.1 on 19 March - today I have a battery warning saying “drive car to charge” - never happened before, even if the car was quarantined for a few days. So I went for a 40 minute drive - no change. So I connected a battery charger which says 12.6V. Is this happening in to anyone...

Re: Thud/Clonk sound at low speed turns ?

I have a 'knock knock knock' sound from the rear under strong braking. Perhaps our cars are just trying to amuse us? I had this when we first picked the car up in September. We were up north at the time but it was a bit worrying so I took it to the dealer as soon as we got back. By then it wasn't s...

Re: Octopus Tariffs

It all depends how much electricity you are using for the house and how much for the car! Our id3 has been sitting around a lot of the time so we haven't used much to charge it. We have PV (though this winter has been rubbish for solar radiation) and also air source heating, which is our major use (...

Floor covering recall?

I took my ID3 in for it's 2.1 upgrade today and noticed a note on the file saying "Floor covering recall" - the chap at the desk wasn't able to enlighten me as to what this entailed. Has anybody else had this recall? :?:

Re: Alarm goes off at random

After several months with no alarm issues, it has gone off twice in the last three nights - at around 05:00

But looking back over this thread, it seems that there is no fix in sight... :(

Re: Condensation front window screen

I've noticed quite a bit of condensation inside, despite using the aircon. In my wife's Mazda mx-5, it's due to drain holes for the retractable roof being blocked but that shouldn't be a problem with and id.3 ;)

Re: Bike prep.

I have an ATERA DL3 as well and use it on my California. The rack weighs 14.5 kg as you say and I think this needs to be included as the limit is the total weight on the tow hitch. The California limit is 60 kg so not much difference from the id3. I have two electric mountain bikes , which weigh 20 ...

Re: Navigation with full postcode

Every time I get near home my nav system announces "Caution: limited access ahead" - really annoying! I think I might have to move house... or at least where the nave system thinks my house is. Generally, i have very little time for VW nav systems, my Passat decided that Rugby was a nice p...

Re: Cheers!

Hi @Emanuel and @rthomps - I agree that the ID.3 is a great car - I really enjoy driving it. I just wish VW would get their act together to sort out the software problems but that should happen before we come out of lockdown 3.0!!
