Re: IONITY Charging - but not charging?

I've charged at Ionity points a couple of times (Leeds and Kent) and not been charged either time. I think that some of the chargers are free at the moment. Maybe to get people used to using them before the 69p/kWh charge kicks in! Was this the Ionity at Maidstone services? Just at the exit to Leed...

Re: 2.0 software - it's out there

Exciting stuff (though a bit sad that we feel excited about software that we should have had three months ago). My id.3 is in the garage next week so I hope to get 2.0 then too...

Re: Bike prep.

See page 63: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/files/live/sites/vwuk/files/pdf/Brochures/volkswagen-accessories.pdf I guess it’s the Transport Hitch Kit that you’ve ordered. I think that looks more like I was going to get. I have an Atera rack that goes on the tow hitch of my California and slides back ...

Re: Bike prep.

When I got to look at the car and tried to find the flap behind the rear number plate! If you find out more I would be interested... I was quoted £850 for the tow hitch and was told that it would be fitted under the car. Having said that the VW garage didn't know much about the car at all!

Re: Stuck in Park

My Passat wouldn't release the park brake unless I had my seatbelt on but the id.3 doesn't appear to have any qualms about this (other than beeping with increasing ferocity).

Wow - that's brave! I haven't dared go down below about 15%

Yes, I think that you are right @heidiFlowerpot I have a timer on my granny lead and set it to come on when Octopus Agile tariff is low but I can only do this once - trying to charge in two separate blocks doesn't work unless i disconnect the lead and the reinsert...

Re: Major software update is ready!

After getting updated to 0570 etc (four days in the garage), the alarm went off again and the reversing camera didn't work on occasion. id3 booked in again for 17 December so I hope the "production" software will be available. Service department said they didn't know whether there were any...

Re: List of issues experienced in 4 weeks.

Have just purchased a cigarette lighter voltage monitor as per suggestions in other threads to monitor the battery in case it dies, only to find that our lighter socket is dead. Called the local VW centre to find out that there aren't that many technicians who can work on them, and there is a wait ...

Re: List of issues experienced in 4 weeks.

Does anyone else feel that the windscreen wipers are the wrong way round for a right-hand drive car? With the passenger wiper swiping down after the driver's wiper, it sometimes leaves a line of water across the driver's view. The wipers are clearly designed for left-hand drive cars. Yes - I think ...

Similar thing happened to me - my app corrected itself to say what the car says... but then the car decides it is a bit chilly and reduces its projected range too!

OK - so VW had the car for four days to update the software to 0570 and yesterday the alarm went off - obviously their bug fix didn't catch that one... I suppose I'll have to hand the car in for another week. Maybe get the promised major upgrade???

Re: I'm a bit worried about the range

We tried coming down from Middlesbrough to mid-Beds in October but I chickened out and we detoured to Ionity at Leeds M1 service station. One reason for this is the overestimation of range (my diesel did this too, though on a 700 - 750 mile range ;) ) I was wondering about the difference in total ti...

Re: What’s Up with the charging speeds ?

180 mph is equivalent to about 50 kW I think (at an exchange rate of 4 miles/kW so maybe the charger was throttled back? I charged at an infinity station (up to 350 kW) and only got the same rate as you because it was free rather than the 69p/kW. I couldn't find a way to charge faster and use up my ...
