Re: First full day
Glad you generally like it. I'm happy so many are coming through. My personal comments on your issues * Sort the ACC out for false positives You can turn off the signs and/or the hazards. I personally find it slows down too much for tiny kinks in the road, but I quite like the speed signs, but I don...

Re: Range
80% charge down to 20% gives you a 60% window. Nope. You aren't alone, there were people who thought this and there will be plenty more. If you are doing 5 miles to town or a 20 mile commute, try and stay in the 60% window. If you are doing 200 miles, charge to 100% and charge when you get to 10/5%...

My dealer installed it into a 5V socket in the rearview mirror, so the wire is only a few inches long. You might want to ask your local workshop.

If you like data, checking efficiently, seeing if it's cheaper than petrol; it gives you all the numbers without any effort.
It also helped when I got a parking ticket in a city I was sure I was not in at the time.

Yes. There is a yellow version if it doesn't start up in the "normal" amount of time.

Re: New owner - couple of questions re cameras
1) You can put the car in drive, or press the Parking P button to turn off all parking sensors/cameras 2) I'm presuming you have a Max, so have front cameras. When the sensors come on as it has detected parking (which happens when creeping foward, but you haven't put it in reverse) you can press the...

It's a shame the 360 camera isn't standard in the family, it really is lovely for lining yourself up in parking spaces.[Youtube video]

Re: VW ID.3 Tour Software Version at Delivery
A tour coming with 2.3 would mean it would need to go for a battery recall and upgrade and would suggest that the car is being built in the factory with recalled hardware.
I therefore think that the statement from your dealer is a load of rubbish.

Not a tour, but my dealer gave me the exact rate (and finance contribution) that was on the paperwork when we paid the deposit.
4.8% + £1750 finance contribution

Re: New OVo Uk - EV charge tariff
I tried, but they only support two chargers (and no cars, just the charger). They also (if it's the same as their last one) only credit you 24p per kwh of car charing, i.e. your night rate is not cheap and you can't run dishwashers and tumble dryers cheaply. Saying that I'm on an OVO fix at the mome...

Re: New / Updated ID.3 revealed
I wonder what happens if you have Plug & Charge registered with two providers (or even if that’s possible?). For example, I use it already with We Charge but not Octopus. In WeConnectId > Users > Plug and Charge you can only have a single certificate associated with your account. So you can rem...

Re: New / Updated ID.3 revealed
- plug and charge functionality could be very useful, especially when it's raining!. Will it work with all/most chargers though? I can answer this one as Octopus have set me up on Plug and Charge. It's currently only available at Ionity. As it is part of the iso 15118 spec, it can come to them all,...

Did you ask your dealer or just look it up online? It's always 338 online, you must get sent an offer link. Not available on my ID3! £338.10 if I want a service plan. Why do some people get the £199 plan and some don't?

Re: New / Updated ID.3 revealed
It won't make a majority happy, but the upgrade path for 3.1 > 3.2 appears to have been very easy, some people getting it done while sat in the dealership at handover. There is a small chance that the most difficult bits are over with for newer purchases. (this comment will come back to haunt me in ...

The Battery Life video suggested that the technology was the same, so I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be compatible.
