Re: Profiles and PINs
You need a driver profile to use the app, so yes you probably do need one.
You don't need to enter a pin each time if you tell it to remember the pin.

Re: We charge rfid card
Does anyone know how we would use our phones at the Ionity charger stations? When I drove through Europe there was a handful of stations that didn't have a RFID reader but did have the option for the smart phone app which didn't seem to have any option for adding our account details or anything. If...

Re: First thousand miles
I think the thing I want for ACC is Mode > Individual > ACC > Eco. VWIDTalk forum suggested that it is in the assist settings for forward sensors, which helped me find the section in the manual that suggested that if you had profiles, it is in profiles. Haven't tried it yet, but should see on the co...

Interesting that ACC might improve, I look forward to it. Yes, I'm on 3.2.

First thousand miles
I’ve just done my first 1k in the car, including a 160-mile trip that was achievable at 100% but not at the 80% that I left with on the return journey. There have been plenty of excellent retrospectives, so I’ll lean more on the packs I added that aren’t as common. Travel assist Once I accepted that...

I can't help, but I will just mention that your front seats have airbags in the sides of them. Be wary of where you cover or attach any seat covers to either front seat.

Re: Delivery time
I am collecting the car on Friday and got a message from the dealer that they only have one key and another one will be delivered in a couple of weeks. There's some mention of it on page 81 of this thread, but no, haven't heard about that in a long time. It would make me suspicious, but could easil...

It is a first edition and we've had quite a few years of upgrades since then. Need to find another press car!

You may know some of these things, but in case people are searching for similar problems 1. Temperature. If you have the We Connect ID App, check what is in Vehicle > Air Conditioning, the car and mobile app might be fighting. It's not just used for starting it remotely. My experience is that it wil...

No good for all of us either without a smart charger or not having ohme. Re: What you wish you'd asked when you picked up your car from the Dealer
My dealer put the bike rack on for me, then went over the process of removing it before I drove off; that was very helpful. I asked for the We Connect ID app to be set up, but the servers were down, but on 3.2 it was really very easy. I took me a few goes to understand that the front of the handle i...

If the centre console is removable, does that make it likely that it won't have wireless charging and USB ports in there?

I'm not sure how much you can read into those pictures are they are missing legally required features (light and hazard buttons). But it does look like they are adding some leather to the dash.

The one time my infotainment screen crashed, this was the first thing that went. It reset itself, but presumably, you could have held the power button for 10 seconds.

If you just mean that the wing mirror position doesn't stick (rather than the kerb drop), I think mine is doing the same. I keep pushing it up a few degrees. But other settings do appear to be sticking. To answer my own question, for anyone googling this in the future, my wing mirror was dropping a...

Re: Charging to 100% Though Set To 80%
You haven't mentioned what charger you have. You should choose, in my opinion, whether you're car or your charger is going to be the smart device. My zappi has good options on when you charge, so I have no locations, set to 80%, then let the charger for all the work. Make sure you don't have two dev...

I am soon to be receiving my car, which is nice after a long wait. But if anyone has managed to get some form of compensation let me know e.g. car mats, charging cable. The dealer didn't mention anything, I didn't buy it, but there were some ID3 floor mats in the car when I got in it. I was just gl...

From posts on here and on facebook we have. Early adopters upgrading from 2.4 > 3 Cars coming with 3.0 Cars coming with 3.1 that are quickly OTA updated to 3.2 Cars coming with 3.2 (although that may be the 3.1 to 3.2 update happening at the dealership) I've not yet heard of a 3.0 to 3.1 update from...
