I'll try charging 12v battery.
It's also good to know, as mentioned else where, that it should work when the EV charge lead is still connected even though the charge is complete.
I'll test both and feed back the outcome.

Have you tried making it work whilst on charge. On mine you get the same error message in the app but the heat does work if the vehicle is charging. Doesn't work when not charging.
