Re: Octopus intelligent query
I have a dumb charger so have to use the car. Been on IO for about a month now and it's been faultless. Just had a 3 hour charge this morning 8-11AM as we need to go out this afternoon. We took advantage and put a wash load on, heated the water and had an Octopus breakfast! ( full English on Octopus).

Re: Final thoughts after 2 years with new car arriving next week
The thing I have found with the climate control is that it works better just left at you chosen temperature. We use the pre-condition from the app all the time, hardly ever need to use the max button. The heated seats and steering wheel seem to come on at about 12 degrees and below outside temperatu...

Same here, just 2 years old and with 3.2 and four free new tyres it's even better than the day will picked it up. No problems and all the software updates went to plan.

Not sure but it would be a good idea if it did. Under vehicle health report in the app I have 'Other' so maybe there?

Re: ID.3 2024 facelift
I think LHD cars already have the larger screen in the recent face-lift models. The reason RHD cars still have the smaller screen is due to the positioning of the light/heated screen combo switch. I'm not sure about the illuminated sliders.

Yes off peak is 23.30-05.30 but sometimes you get bonus off peak times depending on the grid. Glad you are all sorted now.

Re: For octopus customers
Have you downloaded both VW apps. The original one now just called VW and the new one called We connect plus or similar. They are both in the folder called shop in the cars info screen. If you don't have this the VW app may say limited functionality as no mobile mobile services contract. You have to...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
Hi @betamaxxx yes all sounds good to go. I've been on Intelligent Octopus for a couple of weeks now and it's worked faultlessly. You may get some strange times, last night I got 2.30 - 5.30 then 9.00 - 10.00 as I had set 10AM as the ready by time. I checked the charge level before 9AM and it was 80%...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
You need to set your location and name it home or similar. Don't turn off charging in the app, if you enable battery care it will default to 80% everytime you turn the car on.

Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!
Ours went in for the update last week. It took two days, we didn't require a courtesy car, however none was offered! On collection we were told the HV battery had passed it's test but the Goodyear 19" tyres needed replacing under warranty. They also agreed that the puddle light projectors were ...

Same here, new pump at 5K miles and no further problems now on 15K. I think a new up-rated pump was fitted.

Re: Starting at first post
I don't have a default view setting in my profile, only how old a thread to display in 'edit display options'. I now just use the link at the top of the first post 'First unread post'. This seems a good workaround until the forum next updates.

Starting at first post
The forum always used to default to the last post but since last week it now starts at the first post. I am using Chrome if that makes any difference. It would be better if it went to the last unread post as most forums seem to do but the last post isn't too bad.

Re: Electric Drive Not Working Correctly Error
I had this last year, it was on for over 3 months without any noticeable drive problems. I mentioned it to the dealer when the 12V battery/2.4 was done. They had to order a new coolant pump for the HV battery, after this was fitted there hasn't been any further problems. Just to add, it only showed ...

Re: Buying a used iD.3
I know the 1st editions didn't have wireless charging. Not sure about blind spot detection, I don't think many early ID3's have this. The wiper noise sounds like play in the gearbox, probably a warranty issue.

Re: Automatic braking fault
If there is a pedestrian or parked cars on a bend the car will see these as an impending impact. You just need to touch the right indicator for a second and the braking will cancel as the car knows you are aware of the hazard. Lamp posts shouldn't be detected though. Around town it's usually poorly ...

Re: Chargers at camping sites
We live in a holiday area and have a small campsite. We allow use of our charging point but have yet to be asked about it. There is a much larger site a few miles away that has 2 Podpoint 22kW outlets. They are little used and we often charge there as they are cheaper and quicker than home. I don't ...
