Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!

There has an addition to the Service Campaign/Recall today. I now have this on mine. Tyre recall 1.jpg What's that about? Just spoke to my dealer and they no nothing as it has only been released today. Edit from VW CS The 44TT campaign is about the tyres that are installed in your vehicle. On some ...

Re: 3.5 software, then 4.0 apparently later this year ('23)

Dealer has asked where the link to the dealer 3.0 update is. Just had another look at the VW website and the link to that has gone and it's back to showing ota update only!

All booked in for a week on Friday - let's see if it happens after the three aborted attempts to get 2.4 done by the dealer.

Re: Auto Main Beam problem

Yes, I see the subtlety (e.g. going round bends) but there is a definite difference between the auto beam behaviour with my car and with the R-Roc they loaned me recently. The T-Roc immediately turns the main beam off (and I see the symbol in white) when headlamps approach. The ID.3 doesn't do this...

Re: Tyre wear

Our Family Pro is on 21000 miles and the fronts still have around 3/4 mm left while the rears are now due to be changed at around 2mm. I think this is very good considering the weight and torque of the car. Perhaps the EV specific tyres make a difference. We have the Goodyear Efficient Grip Performa...

Re: Disappointed 😔

I was wondering why they needed to put 'ID.3' right in the centre of the dash between the vents but then I remembered that it had been so long for some of the orders to come through that new drivers had to be reminded what car they had actually bought.

Re: Baby ID.3 on its way - awww, bless.

I don't understand why it might be called a Golf. Surely the ID3 itself is a Golf replacement with every dimension being so similar to the Golf? Shouldn't it be an ePolo or ID2? The logic I've seen is that this will be a car smaller than a Golf on the outside but with the same interior space, where...

Re: Exclusions from Service Plan

I also have this service plan, but nearly got caught out by an 'upsell'. I had my first service on the plan in December at 2 years old and 46,000 miles. As has been the practise of my dealer when booking in for software changes, I received an email asking me to book in on line. I have normally done...

Re: new tyres

Only issue with contiseal is that there is a limited band in which it will work. Typically on wife's id3 the nail went into the area that was not covered.

+++ Apologies, it was the Goodyear tyres with the self sealing that she has.

Re: Version 3 OTA update

I asked dealership if car could be upgraded directly from 2.3 - 3.0 they said it was not possible. They provided a courtesy car upgrading from 2.3 - 2.4 then to 3.0 would have taken two day’s minimum so this was never offered. If VW delay OTA 3.0 much longer I’m going to contact dealership to perfo...

Re: What Lays Ahead?

As is always the case, forums are the way that many people can complain about elements of their vehicles. There are very few people who would register and post that their car had performed faultlessly and so you don't tend to read about them. Our ID3 has just done 20000 miles in two years and so far...

What is interesting is that Octopus Go Green is only available to VAG cars: Octopus Go Green is our electric vehicle tariff exclusively for Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Skoda or Cupra EV drivers. All our electricity tariffs are green but with Octopus Go Green, we've purchased the power directly from rene...

Have you tried asking your local VW dealer? They may be very happy to get a car that they can sell immediately for a little profit.
