Re: Heat Pump and Range
I do not have a heat pump, but on my last big run of 370 miles up and down the M40/M1, with temperatures 0C-6C on December 11, got 3.3miles/kwh or a range of 191miles. This was about 10% less than for the same journey in September (university run Oxford <-> York). I had the ACC set to 72mph so have...

Re: Stationary Aircon (heat) only functions when charging
Hi Simon Having 'fiddled' further, I found 12v battery was ok, and didn't make any difference. Found Stat heating will work (Through App or in car 'switching') if the charge lead is plugged in even if not drawing charge at the time the heating is activated. My dealer now tells me it is only designe...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
My car went in on Tuesday and service shop has just told me they can't complete the update as VW have pulled the download. Update on where I am - possibly what happened is that if the initial update to 0783 doesn't work fully then the VW system does not allow further downloads to update the other m...

Re: ID3 Home Charging
Hi, I have a new ID3 on order and looking at charging units. The Podpoint site gives an option for a 22kW charging unit but says charging speed will be limited by your Volkswagen ID.3's onboard charger? New to all this so any help appreciated. You will only get 22kW if you have a 3-phase electricit...

Re: Car back from workshop, hopefully with lots of fixes
Just got a call from technician working on my car to say they were unable to complete the update as VW have pulled the downloads. So they have done all they can do, a full update will be available end of February/early March and so the car is now ready for collecting. My car is displaying software v...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
Looks like this might be a West London ‘thing’ then - perhaps a franchise issue? I can’t fault the customer service we’ve received - either from the sales or service/aftersales team members. Our dealer is part of inchcape. My car went in on Tuesday and service shop has just told me they can't compl...

Re: Car back from workshop, hopefully with lots of fixes
I only had a short drive home but yes first impressions are definitely positive - it’s much more complete now. My dealer had booked it for the whole week, with a courtesy car, I took it Monday morning and they had finished by lunchtime today. Your dealer sounds like they get it, they don't promise ...

Re: Car back from workshop, hopefully with lots of fixes
Good glad you got it back, lots of things should be fixed and more of the advertised features are now available. Hope you like it even more now. I took my ID.3 for 8am on Tuesday, as the dealer said this would allow them to fix it in the day, needless to say on Tuesday afternoon they said they neede...

1. There is a way to release the handbrake manually,so that at least we can move the car out of the way (currently blocking our diesel car in) 2. Is there a way to manually release the charging point flap, would love to plug car in to see what happens. 1. Sorry I don't know. 2. Page 263 manual rele...

Re: Stationary air con
I haven't tried when not charging, but certainly works on app when connected to charger, annoying that the app never stops saying synchronising - so no reliable feedback on whether car is really heating. I can see the charge light by the charging socket from inside the house, so as car has stopped c...

Re: Heat Pump
Just curious as mine was specc’d with it but How can you tell if it’s fitted? Apart from the paperwork... You can hear it when you pre-heat the car and under the bonnet is a label for the refrigerant fluid (CO2) - R744 - which in another post is stated to be only used in the heat pump not in the ai...

Re: Stationary Aircon (heat) only functions when charging
In this cold weather I have been trying to use the WeConnect App to pre heat the car. After a confusing series of successful and unsuccessful attempts I realised that in works when the vehicle is on charge and doesn't work if not on charge - even when the charge level is 90%. I have also tried acti...

So does that mean VW can't manufacture any ID.3s until 24th February? As haven't got any onboard chargers.

Re: Navigation with full postcode
When I first got my ID.3 I stored a number of favourite locations, all of which are in the correct place on the maps. However for some of them when I try to get directions, system says "Can't calculate route" and on the start graph show as 0min from my current location. So I have to find a...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
Wouldn't that mean that with the passenger side, being underneath and wiping first, would hit the driver's side which had not moved? Yes, but as discussed on the Facebook group it looks like everything is down to software, so both wipers are mirror images, with individual motors and it is just the ...

Re: Noob question regarding supercharger
...... Yes, I'm starting to believe that's the case. I'm going to be very amazed if they manage to pull it off in the ME2.1 or any future update. Also, the 280km of highway driving is without any heating at all, and I believe the battery is pre-heated, but even then I doubt it'll manage that distan...

Same thing - I assume V2.0 is the public release code (if widely available) and 0783 is the internal software build number.

Re: Noob question regarding supercharger
Yupp, the heat pump seems to be extremely bad. Unless there's some magic in the ME2.1 update it seems like an ID3 with no heat pump is better at managing the battery %. ..... At this point I have little confidence in even the simple functions of the ID.3's software, so managing engine, battery and ...
