Hi There,
Got a chance to use the new MFG charging station in Stretford (manchester) earlier today. And despite having a warm battery (end of 40 mile drive), 37% capacity and using a charger (brand spanking new) rated at 100kw - it didnt get above 240mph charging rate.. based on the figures on the charger screen - for the first few min it was barely above 50kw (50-55). According to the various charge curves around it should be capable of pulling 70-80kw at that state of charge...
Of course many many things could be a factor here (most likely the charger) but I've never seen greater than 240mph / 50kw...
Wondering if this is a fault with the car??? Anyone else had high charge speeds on non ionity chargers?

You need to start at a lower SOC. Here is my ID3 on a 175KW charger starting at 15% SOC. As you can see I'm pulling 99kW as advertised. However if you start above about 30% SOC you will not see this rate......

Taa. Would have thought it would match the max rate on the charge curve at that soc. eg at 35% 77kw etc..

I've seen mine at 67kW with 48% charge. Were other chargers around you in use also?

Just one (of eight) and they left half way through. Will have to try again - though was surprised not to get higher. Battery was warm (after 45 min drive) at 37% (low enough to pull more than 50) etc..

The starting SoC level makes a big difference, get it below 20% before you plug in.

There are a number of variables at play including state of charge (SoC), battery temperature, ambient temperature, max amperage output of the charger and so on.

I was able to get 90kw even at 30% on a sunny day in June at Ionity Cambridge

If you use the tronity app you can even see the charging curve, which can be interesting

I'm just charging at an osprey site in Rossendale I started at 34% but Maxed at 47kw on a 150kw charger. The id.4 next to me is pulling 74kw charged in half the time compared to my I'd.3.
