Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a cleaning mode or a way to turn off the car to clean the screen? The screen comes on even if I get in the passenger side and I can’t figure out a way to turn the car off so I can clean it would randomly changing settings as wipe it.
In previous cars with touch screens you could simply not turn the key!
Thanks

Well according to the manual ...
Cleaning the screen
Observe this checklist when cleaning the screen:
The Infotainment system is switched off.
Use a clean, soft cloth that is moistened with water.
Or: use a cleaning cloth available from Volkswagen dealerships.
In the case of stubborn dirt:
Moisten dirt with only a little water and allow to soak in.
Carefully remove dirt with a clean, soft cloth.
So presumably the On/Off control at bottom left will turn it off?

Thanks, I tried using the standby button already but it just seemed to turn off the radio. I’ll give it another try though.van wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 8:57 pm Well according to the manual ...

I just unlock the car and open the passenger door, after a couple of minutes the screen goes black and I can clean it.
