Got my ID.3 in September and it charged with a range of 260-270 miles.

Now (winter) it never charges to more than 220-230 and sometimes less than 200.

Does anyone know of this is a cold weather thing, and can I expect higher range in the summer… or has the range actually fallen.

Could it be related to with how the car has been driven (carefully and slowly!)

Thanks as always

This is a cold weather thing.

Range will increase as ambient temperatures increase.

It is warm here now, range has increased dramatically, just like it did last year. Worry not!

Yes. The range is calculated dynamically based on a lot of factors, mostly temperature and how you drive. If it is cold outside, the battery needs to be heated and you will see that when starting. A subtle hint is the blue bar indicating available regen. It is shorter when the battery is cold. We have had ours since last summer and regularily only charge 80% and then it said 200-something during the winter, but now when the temperature is around 8C it again shows over 300km. Also do winter tyres and snow affect range, just as they would an ICE car.

We're back up to 340 - 350 km now.

It's the green bar for regen. The blue bar is battery power available for traction. Both can be affected by temperature.
