Timing a Charge
Usually it does.
When it preheats, sometimes it charges to 1% over limit, no problem.
Usually was my own mistake, when it din't charged.
Eg. thought, that friday's holiday is weekend day and set weekend charging to 9.00, but preferred times were 23.00-7.00
(Weekends are cheap in Estonia all the day round).
If I forget to untick preferred times friday evening, it won't charge to 9.00 sunday morning.
That's for I'd like to get preferred times under departure time selection, to get them different for weekend.

Been watching this thread but my circumstances don't demand timed charging currently.
Out of curiosity and as I was down to 27% last night I had a go at setting something up.
Set up my home location (Zappi charger) and configured a charge.
Set leaving time as 08:00am
Asked car to charge to 40% immediately
Configured preferred times of 01:00 - 08:00 for the remainder to take the car to 80%
Left reduced charging off
Car charged to 38% early evening and then stopped. So far so good (ish)
At some point between 04:00 and 05:00 (04:45 ish) the Zappi sprang into life and delivered a spike current of 7.4kW then immediately settled down to 3.8kW until stopping at 08:00 and 61%

Very much like my experiences. I know they know it's a bug so I hope it's fixed soon, our overnight cost per Kwh is very low.

They offered:
Regarding your inquiry about charging times, we kindly ask you to create an extra location for weekends for that time when you would like to start the charging.
But it won't let to create second location in the same location.
I have never been such problems, but I usually do reduced charging (thought it keeps battery healthier).
Can there be something with charger or main fuse?
Mine is 3-phase and takes 16 / 7,4 (reduced) amps.

I have 2.1 on my ID3 and it seems to be good so far, but I can’t figure out how to do an immediate charge when you are at home (and at your ‘location’) and have the timer set. The old infotainment system goodbye page had a button to start charging immediately I think, and the old manual refers to it. But that has gone, and short of unsetting the timed charging setting I can’t figure it out. I had a 62% charge but was about to go for a longish drive. Can someone help?

I believe you've already found that you have to disable the timer - that's it for now.
Ahh that's my follow up findings covered then.. Yes attempted to make up for the shortfall from my timed efforts and whereas I normally plug in the charger and off it goes at 7.4kW.. Yesterday it just sat there at 1.(something)kW until it eventually reached 81%scott28tt wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 3:45 pmM100 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 3:23 pm I have 2.1 on my ID3 and it seems to be good so far, but I can’t figure out how to do an immediate charge when you are at home (and at your ‘location’) and have the timer set. Did it go quickly to 64% then just stop, or just trickle up to 64% by the end of your timer window?
Why did you set reduced charging on the car? With that set, would it have been technically possible for the car to reach 80% in the window?
