And what is the initial soc?

Is your charger smart? In other words, adjust the output power according to the remaining consumption?

initial SOC is around 50% for both days.

I have the Eilli charger, jury is out regarding its intelligence, I'd say it's dumb right now as the only control you have is if it is activated through RFID or not. No app and when you connect to its webserver there's nothing to fiddle with other than connectivity, language or password.

I assume you already have 2.1, that problem was supposed to be solved already.
At 16 hours I will pick up my car with the upgrade completed, then I test this situation, since it was the only most annoying problem I had, in version 2.0.

Curiously, same last night, set to 90% and it went to 78% again. Can’t be a coincidence.

Spoke to my dealer today about this and he has discussed it with VW. He said that VW have acknowledged it's a known issue, it is random (so won't happen every time). It's one of the things they are looking to fix for the next update.

Mine also failed, at the time and in the value of the charge, 80% is the target and have 78%.

2 more tests:

Monday night it was low on battery (really have no idea how we're driving so much under lockdown, but we do live at the top of 6km of hill) - was on 39%, did the scheduled charging, 1am to 7am, 90%, charged to 51%, wife threw a wobbler as she had to drive 150km to check on her parents.

Then I did another test last night, this time using the granny charger instead of the 11Kwh wall charger.

Same settings (1am to 7am, 90%), checked at 07:45, 88% charge, still charging. checked at 08:15 - 90% charge and had stopped charging.

Some pretty naff software going on here :)

I've put the departure time same as cheap time.
Eg. leaving in 8.00, cheap time ends 7, then I put leaving also 7 and without air conditioning (it cools down anyway).
Of course, if I charge to 80%. 100% needs immediate leaving.
Sometimes it looks for cheap time interval, sometimes not.

How often does it charge to the % you set?

Usually it does. :)
When it preheats, sometimes it charges to 1% over limit, no problem.
Usually was my own mistake, when it din't charged.
Eg. thought, that friday's holiday is weekend day and set weekend charging to 9.00, but preferred times were 23.00-7.00
(Weekends are cheap in Estonia all the day round).
If I forget to untick preferred times friday evening, it won't charge to 9.00 sunday morning.
That's for I'd like to get preferred times under departure time selection, to get them different for weekend.

Been watching this thread but my circumstances don't demand timed charging currently.
Out of curiosity and as I was down to 27% last night I had a go at setting something up.

Set up my home location (Zappi charger) and configured a charge.
Set leaving time as 08:00am
Asked car to charge to 40% immediately
Configured preferred times of 01:00 - 08:00 for the remainder to take the car to 80%
Left reduced charging off

Car charged to 38% early evening and then stopped. So far so good (ish)
At some point between 04:00 and 05:00 (04:45 ish) the Zappi sprang into life and delivered a spike current of 7.4kW then immediately settled down to 3.8kW until stopping at 08:00 and 61%

Very much like my experiences. I know they know it's a bug so I hope it's fixed soon, our overnight cost per Kwh is very low.

I'm using our solar panels to granny charge during the day.

Wrote to support.
They offered:
Regarding your inquiry about charging times, we kindly ask you to create an extra location for weekends for that time when you would like to start the charging.
But it won't let to create second location in the same location.

I have never been such problems, but I usually do reduced charging (thought it keeps battery healthier).
Can there be something with charger or main fuse?
Mine is 3-phase and takes 16 / 7,4 (reduced) amps.

I have 2.1 on my ID3 and it seems to be good so far, but I can’t figure out how to do an immediate charge when you are at home (and at your ‘location’) and have the timer set. The old infotainment system goodbye page had a button to start charging immediately I think, and the old manual refers to it. But that has gone, and short of unsetting the timed charging setting I can’t figure it out. I had a 62% charge but was about to go for a longish drive. Can someone help?

I believe you've already found that you have to disable the timer - that's it for now.

Ahh that's my follow up findings covered then.. Yes attempted to make up for the shortfall from my timed efforts and whereas I normally plug in the charger and off it goes at 7.4kW.. Yesterday it just sat there at 1.(something)kW until it eventually reached 81%

Hi, i setup charging last night with my sync ev charger set at 7.4kw and reduced charge in the car. Set to 80% charge but it stopped charging at 64% for no reason. Anyone else have these problems?
