145 ps or 204ps
40% more power or maybe about 10% more efficiency on the heating in winter.
I know where I would spend my money...

We've spoken here before, regarding the heat pump, and decided that at 5 or 10% extra efficiency in the Winter, it's not worth paying £1260 for it!

I guess with 145ps only you are likely to get more efficiency just because you are limited at the rate you can deplete the battery (how fast you can accelerate / how much power is available).
So adding a heat pump would give you an even more efficient ID.3.
I went for a heat pump, as I was going for an efficient vehicle, so wanted the extra efficiency, as others say currently appears to be quite limited.
However, as my car is now bricked with 2.1 recall, I have discovered that I am unable to preserve my battery level when preheating my loan 1st Edition presumably because it tries to pull too much power through the granny charger. So having charged to 81% and setting it to preheat, on getting into the car it was no longer charging (red charge light) and charge level was down to 76%. Whereas with my ID.3 with heat pump, charging continues (pulsing green charge light) while preheating and charge level is maintained. Obviously not an issue if you are charging at 7kW without a heat pump, but does show that the heat pump works and is using 2kW instead of 6-7kW without.

0-62 in the 145PS is 9.3 seconds. This is pretty respectable, I used to drive a 150PS Tiguan that had exactly the same 0-62 and never had an issue.
If you want to put your foot down and pin yourself to the seat for two seconds and beat people at the lights, buy the 204PS. If you want more battery life, buy the 145PS, it's perfectly adequate.
