WeConnect ID - more than one driver?

Trying to set up WeConnect ID app on my wife's phone. Went through the whole process and scanned the QR code in the car. Bingo, it works! BUT.....now I've been kicked off and I can't reconnect. So does the app only work for one driver? Or is there a work around?

Multiple instances of the app have to be logged in with the same VW account in order for those app instances to manage the same car.
This should hopefully change.
