Oh no! Try locking it up. Leaving for 20 min then coming back.

Otherwise it may be the pump that moves the motor coolant - which whilst not a common fault is reported fairly regularly by some.

If it doesn’t clear - call the VW recovery number and they can arrange to get the car taken to your nearest dealer to fix - ans get a courtesy car etc… often this may be better than calling the dealer yourself.

Newcastle? Presumably Lookers on Scotswood Road?

Not as bad as Silverlink branch for warranty and service, but my experiences with them for turning down non mechanical warranty work (white worm on alloys, poorly closing boot lids, interior trim issues) over the years means that I'd rather go out of my way to Pulman Sunderland for after sales support.

The only upside to going to Lookers for warranty work is that they have a fair few ID3 courtesy cars, Pulman will generally give you a Polo or Up with a 1.0TSI engine.
Cupra Born V2 e-boost 230ps Aurora Blue, replaced ID3 PP Family

Audi S3 - because I hate rapid charging for long distance driving.

Well to update the above the heating stopped working altogether in the car too , so after 5 days of ownership it’s now in the dealers awaiting parts on back order - so I’ve a ice golf courtesy car 😞

Killed the excitement of my first new car in years and first EV dead in its tracks

Sorry to hear Steve that you are having so many issues with your ID.3.There seems to be many owners having such issues.I wonder are these issues down to poor PDI in the dealerships or generally a lack of training on behalf of the dealership staff. It seems to me that there are not enough staff with the training needed to PDI EVs or even fix them when issues arise.Brand new vehicles should not have to be brought back to the work shop so soon after leaving the dealerships.

Sounds like the heating/cooling pump, seems to have failed on a number of others with similar error reports. Very annoying at any time let alone in the first week.
