It definitely looks like mine isn’t one of the phantom turn up out of the blue orders. Seem as though they had a pile of car sitting unfinished in various states and they are just assigning them last minute?? Who knows.

My id3 arrived at the dealership yesterday. Just in the process of arranging collection. Dealer has suggested 25th! so cruel!!!

& I can’t get an answer from anyone even executive office!

I've given up thinking about delivery times now, ordered Oct 2021 had some email responses all stopped now. I have a feeling VW HQ have told staff not to be so availble!
Its just a waiting game now........

My only concern is it going past 12 month & losing the grant.
No clarification off anyone at all.

I get a call ever month to 6 weeks, just depends when they remember about me.

Not just me that's at that point then, It just feels like a non event now, Started the process of trying to get an ID.3 around last August, Finally managed to order November and now I've lost all enthusiasm about the car arriving, it's already not what I ordered with the new interior colour scheme etc, I'm sure it will be worth it when it arrives, but I've forgotten why I bothered lol.

Btw, I'm fully expecting mine to be my22. I just have a feeling it's lying part built somewhere. If it's my22.5 then great, if not, still great.

“All the ID3’s and ID4’s are being migrated over to model year 23 by Volkswagen so there estimated build weeks have been taken out and will be re input. (all over models have already been migrated).

As soon as I get a new date I will be in touch.”

Newbie here! Wow delivery times are similar to the Tiguan debacle going on elsewhere.

I'm completely new to the id3 - a couple of days ago I saw an ad on Autotrader for a brand new Life Pure Performance 150PS (the base model I guess) which had just arrived at a dealer and immediately put down a holding deposit. Assume it was a 'homeless' cancelled order - agreed a deal and I pick her up next week (entire process of deciding to buy an id3, finding one and picking it up - 8 days...eek!)!

Never had an electric car before so I may have a lot to learn!

It is a lovely car to drive and an EV is no problem after a couple of learning weeks re public chargers.
Have you a home charger?
Ps. If it’s from a garage are they putting 2.4 on the car - I guess not in that timescale.

No home charger - and actually rather shocked how much they cost - but I have a new double socket outlet inside a detached garage, next to the door. I don't need to use the car every day - maybe a 60 mile/60mile trip once a week and the rest local journeys.

I don't understand the question about 'are they putting 2.4 on the car? 2.4 what?

Update - OK I had a mooch around and you are referring to the 2.4 software update I think? This car only arrived from the factory a few days ago so would presume its got the latest updates and wont need that.
