I thought people here might find this funny. I got a survey from VW about how satisfied I was with the process of buying the ID3. It was about 3 different "rate out of five stars" questions and then an open text question. I gave some pretty detailed feedback in that open text field, giving suggestions for what they could have done differently in terms of comms, managing customer expectations, making customers feel valued etc. Went to submit and got this...

Maybe they've changed - I would Google your tyre brand and make sure your tyres show the relevant symbol (eg Contiseal or whatever the Bridgestone equivalent is).

ricko wrote: Thu Jul 21, 2022 8:59 am Hi all

I collected my car yesterday - all OK except we couldn't set up anything as the car decided to do a software download and update at that point ! I drove home 35 miles along country A/B roads and got 4.9 mi/kwh with the AC off and 19 degree temperatures - a far cry from the last 2 days ! Halfway home the screen woke up and started working.

The paperwork in the car indicated signoff on the 30th June, so 3 weeks from the factory to me is pretty quick going !

Interestingly the dealership had charged the car to 96% ...
Software is now showing as 3.0.0

Will post some pics in the next few days

Cheers
RIck
No mine was signed off on 30th June as well and I pick it up Monday. It has been sitting at the dealership since the 14th but I have not been able to go get it. If it is updating to 3.0 software already that will be amazing as I hear it fixes the start/stop charing bug on solar chargers.

After chasing the dealer (only way can ever get an update!) car is built and on its way to Port of Tyne. Estimated deliver 4 to 5 weeks (I think I could push the car quicker from the factory to my house!) but at least now know its built and on its way. Just within 12 months of ordering. Wont actually believe it until I get the keys in my hands but least its positive news and a sign orders coming through for everyone, even though all seems very random.

I had the same phone on the 7th this month 4/6weeks , following week I had another call to say it was at the dealer I picked up this Wednesday i could have been lucky that it got to Emden at the right time . I’m the same as you I didn’t believe it until I drove off the forecourt , I think they being cautious about deliveries .

I lost my status code 10 (now 00) and provisional build week, but now it is shown as MY23

Finally had an update from dealer, the first since ordering my family pro performance last Oct 5th.
Confirmed build week 34 (end Aug) so will be a whole years wait when it arrives.

I also had an update from my dealer this week. Previously had WW38 as build week and status 10, which was the case since earlier in the year.
Status has now gone to 00 and no build week, and also an "error in structure".
However, my dealer says this is "good news"!! Error in structure means it is changing to MY23 and I should expect some real movement in my order in the next few weeks. He has been very good at communicating even when there is no update and so I am inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Don't get excited about MY23. He said it is just a change to the USB C ports to give them 45w charging capacity.

I noticed that the VW UK website makes no mention of the infotainment screen size but the German site specifically says 30.5cm / 12 inch. So I'm wondering if this is a MY23 change.

@4810510 You’re right - that’s interesting…. It’s mentioned in the Infotainment Plus package on the German site here: https://www.volkswagen.de/de/modelle/id ... ktro%22%7D

I’d like to see some mention of memory seats in the MY23 variant, but I’ve seen nothing as yet. Seems odd they’re electric (and massaging) but not memory selectable.

Out of interest, has anyone had a delivery from Heritage Bristol? Or a confirmation that their ID.3 is on the way?

I too had an update from my dealer on Friday.

I wanted to add the bike prep which they did while on the phone, it was all accepted and no change to the previous build week of 45, dealer did say some info was missing on the system but that is what seems to happen when MY updates happen. Also mentioned in a staff briefing he was told VW are around 35% behind schedule, but on track to be nearer 5% by year end so things are catching up.

Like @MattBCL I am hoping for memory seats, but at this point who knows. 12” screen and boat mode will be great as well.

I'll join in - Dealer got in touch to say my build week had gone but like other correspondents this is good news and my car is shifting to MY23 and that it usually only shifts a week or two. That said my expectation has only been "September" build with an expectation of 6-8 weeks from build to delivery.

Dealer said they would be back in touch in the following week once it gets a build week again.

I would be interested as well.
Ordered last Oct 21 , due April 22.
Only communication has been it’s been delayed.
No dates given , no build date .
And I’ve had some emails with one of the dealers saying that they are now being built and that they would honour the contract we signed .
That’s it ….

It’s frustrating, it will be a year in October for us and August for you. I feel we could be waiting longer as there seems to be a total lack of care to customer in this dealer. A simple phone call or even email explaining the delay would be nice.
They will probably just turn up as other cars have been doing . Only thing I’m worried about is when the car finally turns up I will have to still deal with them !!!

My car was still status 00 last week, it’s never had a build week assigned to it. Ordered 9 months ago 🤬
I just hope it’s here within the next 3 months so there’s no hassle with the government grant?????

The dealer has just been in touch saying they have my car now and will be delivering on Friday. My build week was 26 and I haven't heard anything from them since before that. Oddly I finally decided to install my charger last weekend so it will be nice to try it out. Just need to get my work to hurry up installing chargers now so I don't have to pay the electricity bill!
