Where did you spot that ? My configurator landing page (on VW UK) says :-

Life Pro 260 miles
Life Pro Performance 260 miles
Family Pro 257 miles
Family Pro Performance 257 miles
Max Pro Performance 254 miles
Tour Pro S 338 miles

I checked the model page too, and it says the same as the configurator. Puzzled where the 256 miles is!

If you go into the configurator for the Family you get the 256 miles. Probably just a rounding issue somewhere.

Just been on again my VW online config is definitely showing 256 miles for family pro/pro performance. Odd.

Not saying your memory is wrong, but checking https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/files/live ... t-p11d.pdf it quotes this :-

Pro "up to" 264 miles
Pro Performance "up to" 260 miles
Pro S "up to" 340 miles

I've no idea why the claimed mileages change, but they definitely do. As to 270 miles ...

54 weeks? A mate of mine just ordered a KIA EV6 today and been told delivery July, not even an estimate, just told delivery July! Sadly I do not have the budget for that but this will hurt VW. Great advert though, "come buy a new VW delivery only 54 plus weeks away"

I think its a problem for the whole industry, not just VAG. Your mates order is still a wait of 6 months, its not ideal.

I'm sure a lot of people on this post were told 2021 delivery, not estimates. Look what happened there....

Hi

Long time lurker, ordered my id3 tour on Aug 29th order number 31421xxx - from salisbury dealer. Shopped around for a few weeks before hand and were told that they had an order on the books I could have but couldn’t change the colour etc. I could have got it cheaper elsewhere but was told as it was an existing order all good.

It had a provisional build date of 48… and they were confident of a Xmas delivery.

Few months later on 4th Nov I was told it had a scheduled build week of 50 and that I should take delivery in Jan.

Chased a few times in Dec and early jan and no updates, finally got one today.

It appears over Xmas it got put back to build week 17. It has now been pushed back to week 25.

So maybe a July delivery? Who knows.

You see I would jump on and agree, world wide shortage etc etc. But MG can supply now, or 12 weeks for custom car. Hyundai is apparently 5 - 6 months. Kia EV6 6 months. BMW mini electric 10 week. VW 12+ months? It is not a good advert.

Yeah, I retract my previous statement

I've just chased 2 other VAG models up at work. VW Tiguan & Seat Ateca and they will be 6 months+ if the ETA's are to be believed. We've got no hope with our EV's!

Just had my first update since mid November from dealer - scheduled build week now revised from 3 to 13. Not great, but could be worse I guess?!

Just called my contact and I got the "out of office" message and no answer to e mail from a few days ago either. He has probably gone into hiding

Week 13 doesn't seem so bad - 28th March? I suppose it depends how quickly the build and delivery is from that point.

You should be counting on 8 weeks minimum, 10 weeks average rising to 14 weeks and counting for us poor sods waiting on Max and Tour.

With less cars being built some dealers are seeing an even quicker delivery. Mine said they were seeing cars being delivered in 3-4 weeks so if that's still the case by March could be a nice surprise!

Edit: just realised this was build week to delivery and not build complete to delivery so my bad

I work for Toyota and not that you would order one but if you order proace at the minute it's Q3 2023 for delivery just to put it in perspective.
