Pleasure. Judging by that spreadsheet, the Family Pro Performance is the most common spec of users tracking their orders via this forum. Based on the recent influx of this model to UK customers, I hope you won't be waiting much longer. The car has delivered and then some and was worth the wait for me; I'm very glad I trusted my gut and didn't cancel it.jimbaxter wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:19 pmLooks really good, thanks for the photos and the description. Helped to remind me of why I have not cancelled the order yet. I am looking forward to the driving experience I remember during the test drive.mastacar1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 4:41 pm Here she is.
Annoyingly I seem to have missed the car mats, so I've ordered some and they'll be here in the next few days.
New interior as expected, and the build quality feels spot on.
This is the Pro Performance model, so a touch over 200hp, and it goes like stink. Beautiful and smooth to drive, and my wife also loves it.

My car took two weeks from leaving factory to dealer I get a feeling I was very lucky ,where 3/4 months came from that’s longer than the commonwealth baton took to go round the ukthe.kes wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:43 pmWho are they using to deliver, Brian the snail from the Magic Roundabout? Suspect that should be 3-4 weeks not months?Big277wave wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 12:55 pm Wow, I've just phoned up my dealership for an update on my replacement ID.3 and the build week has been moved forward to week 37 from week 41! That's the first time I've had positive news for months. But there's a downside, I was told it then usually takes 3-4 months for the delivery. Makes you wonder how it can take so long to get a car from the factory to the dealership. Hopefully it won't be quite as long as that.
Seeing our dealer this week so it will be interesting to finding out if we will see our car this year ….

Did you get VWFS to reduce your monthly payments, it's worth asking them.jmo2022 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:56 am So after the past 3 months of status 0, I’ve spoken with the dealer today and they confirmed that I’ve moved back to status 10 with build week 9 (I think they said week commencing 27th February).
My current lease has been extended until the start of December however VW finance put in an email that they would allow me to continue to roll over my lease on a monthly basis until the ID3 arrives. My current car’s due for an MOT and service in June next year so if it did actually go on build week 9 then it should arrive just before the start of June (I’d hope).

I had a call from the dealer yesterday; our ID3 is due to be delivered to them today.
As it needs a Motability modification (wheelchair hoist in the boot), we need to wait until the hoist installer is available (non-VW third party), which may be a week or two.
Ours was a week 27 build (4 Jul), which means it’s taken 6 weeks from build to dealership (for those wondering about that part of any timeline).
Ours was also an early Oct 21 order, so thats a shade over ten months from order to delivery (if we weren’t waiting for the hoist).

It hasn’t been reduced but I’ll definitely push for a reduction and see what they offer.4810510 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:11 pmDid you get VWFS to reduce your monthly payments, it's worth asking them.jmo2022 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:56 am So after the past 3 months of status 0, I’ve spoken with the dealer today and they confirmed that I’ve moved back to status 10 with build week 9 (I think they said week commencing 27th February).

Have you managed to get your monthly rental reduced then?

I didn't ask the first time but when I had to extend again I went on a rant that VWFS were making a fortune because I was forced to keep a car beyond the original term ... after some back and forth the best offer I could get was down from £279 to £202.jmo2022 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 8:13 amIt hasn’t been reduced but I’ll definitely push for a reduction and see what they offer.4810510 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:11 pmDid you get VWFS to reduce your monthly payments, it's worth asking them.jmo2022 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:56 am So after the past 3 months of status 0, I’ve spoken with the dealer today and they confirmed that I’ve moved back to status 10 with build week 9 (I think they said week commencing 27th February).

I’m more relieved that it’s been built and it’s gotten to the dealer; the big hurdles (build, shipping and delivery to the dealer) are now jumped, and a few more weeks won’t make much difference. My existing car’s catalytic converter is dying and its service is due in 2 months time, so as long as I can offload it on WeBuyAnyCar by then, I’ll be happy.DumfriesDik wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 4:47 amNice one, good to hear that a Motabilty vehicle has come through. Being slightly cynical, as it’s a Motability lease car that VW will get back, a final adaption delay of two weeks will put the car into the new registration zone, which means a slightly better resale price for VW in three years time…
Ordered our car Oct 21, dealers has no idea when the car will turn up!

I wonder if VW has booked the factory up for Cupra and Audi until January. It seems slightly strange that all of a sudden we're getting a lot of Jan/Feb/March build dates.
Exactly, too many models being produced when there still is a backlog.....Casparh wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 11:05 am

Update at dealership was no idea when your car will turn up and you’ve lost your grant …
Ready to ask for the deposit back and go back to a hybrid.
At no time did they contact us with any deadline or mention it while we waited for a car ordered nearly a year ago !
They said they will contact us if they can still give us the car with the £2,500 taken off but I’m not holding my breath.
The experience has totally put us off dealing with VW.
Pity as we wanted to get an EV and the car is what we wanted. Oh and they said all the usual excuses including Brexit !
Funny how several people we know have ordered EV cars from other car making companies with no issues and all within the year we’ve been waiting for any update !

Yes, that really annoyed me as well. they cant build an ID3 tour as there is a chip shortage and there is a war in Ukraine and Brexit, but they can build any number of 77kwh Cupra Borns with exactly the same looms and chips.Andy1966 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 11:28 amExactly, too many models being produced when there still is a backlog.....

I thought they were trying to get the grants extended??
Lots of manufacturers are trying I hear?
Mine has a build week of 41, 2022, grant will therefore be lost.

That is bad, though there was news that the government is being asked by manufacturers to extend the grant deadline again, so maybe you will be lucky.Andy1966 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 3:28 pm Update at dealership was no idea when your car will turn up and you’ve lost your grant …

And I agree, it seems there are cars available from other manufacturers, at the moment the grant is the one thing making it more expensive to jump to the others for me. Though after this car I probably will not buy VW again.
