I was wondering if anyone knows when the PCP discount (contribution) started? My dealer claims he didn't know anything about it back in June when I ordered the car.

Which PCP discount?

There have been many different offers through the last 12 months.

The current one is a £1750 contribution: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/finance ... .html#1039

Earlier ones were all higher amounts I think.

As I said there has been offer after offer, since the start of November last year.

My guess is that this one started at the end of Euro 2020 as there was a VW promo for that event.

Ok, thanks Scott. A bit sad when you feel like you have to double check every morsel of information coming from your dealer. Not that I want to add to the doom & gloom :?

The £1750 deposit contribution is current and has been in place for months, it's unlikely to disappear unless something better replaces it, or sales are so buoyant, VW UK thinks it no longer needs to offer it.

If you have your finance approved and the incentive was available then, you will still get it even if they were to pull it later - VWFS would honour it.

For Euro 2020 (they kept the name, even though it was postponed for a year) , there was an additional £1000 discount available if you took a test drive in Jun/Jul and got a car delivered by end of Sep.
