Has anyone managed to get hold of a physical copy of the user manual for an ID3? My VW dealer has been unable to get hold of one and I can't get any sense from VW online.

If it helps you can download a beta copy of the manual here~-

Ahh sorry -I guess you have to be a member of Facebook "VW ID.3 UK Owners" group to download. Why not join/subscribe?

Use the on-line manual, bit of a faff, but works for me.

There isn’t a physical copy of the user manual, it’s all online.

If your VIN or reg doesn’t work, use “HT71 EKE” as a recent example (number plate lifted from an Autotrader advert 😂)

I'm sure I read that owners of early cars were given them but many had them removed when the car went in for 2.1 update? There aren't any around for later cars (my version of the manual is July2021 onwards, ie MY22, although I'm not sure if there are any significant differences.)

Our December 2020 car came with a full printed manual as pictured in an earlier post. I removed it from the car before it went in for the 2.1 update as I read that the dealers were replacing them with a slimmed down alternative manual. When the car was returned the new slim guide was present so now we have both versions.

I must say, I do not find the manuals to be very clearly written. They seem poorly organised and confusing compared to the manual for my BMW for example.

Both the in car and online manuals are a poor substitute suffering from the usual problem of findability. If you don’t already know of a feature and it’s name then you’ll be frustrated. The online version is better than the in car instructions but could be improved by producing it as a manual in PDF form.

Sorry to be pedantic, but that isn't a glove box. At best it's half a glove box.

Sorry to be pedantic but I can fit a whole glove in there. Only one, but nevertheless an entire glove.

I couldn't get both of them in that glove box though.

I did the same alhough I didn't get the slim guide.

It doesn't help a lot as others have said.. Some more info on the touch controls would be nice, the two finger tap for the heated seats was a revelation ..
