I am staying at a B&B on Wednesday who offer charging for my ID.3.

They are asking that I download the Voltshare app so I can monitor the charging.

Have looked at the App but no reviews and no indication of pricing - I presume the host sets the charge.

Seems like a fairly good idea in principle as it saves the host the hassle of working out the price.

Anybody used it?

Dave

You need to install their specific wall charger too. Not a bad idea for an Airbnb and the like.

@Cherry would have loved this idea though 🤣

Just returned from a short breaking and used the Voltshare app at the B&B we stayed at: https://www.prettymaidhouse.com. Great place to stay if travelling around Kent.

The charger was simplicity itself to use - scan QR code plug your own cable in and instant charge. The app kept us informed re the state of charge and costs and sent confirmation of payment immediately.

This particular B&B charged £0.54 plus VAT per Kw, charging at 7KwH.Charges displayed before using. Not cheap but the ability to charge whilst sleeping made it worthwhile in my option.

Feels like a useful addition to the App set on my phone.
