Charged last night to 80%, got in this morning and it lit up like a Christmas tree, alarms everywhere, steering wheel buttons all flashing and then after about a minute both infotainment and display screens went totally blank. Checked 12v battery and it reads 2.47v. Getting picked up tomorrow morning but don’t have too much faith in getting it back without problems.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that!

Did you leave the charge lead plugged into the car at the end of the 80% charge?

No, charged at public charging point as I’m still in the process of having a home charger fitted.

Terrible news.

Surely VW are throwing resources at this problem?

Let’s hope so. Will be interesting to see how much training the technicians at my local dealership have had.
