Boot liner?

Has anyone found a fitted boot liner? I know they make a plastic tray and a reversible mat but was hoping someone would of measured and produced a fitted liner by now, we have used hatchbag before and they are brilliant but they have emailed to say they haven’t had chance to measure one up for production as yet. Can’t decide which to go for from the OEM options to keep the boot area protected from a muddy dog!

There are a few official VW boot liners but having ordered one and returned it they are very over priced for what they are. Basically made of cheap feeling foam.

Anyone got any recent experience of finding a boot liner?

I'm also looking for a boot net to stop shopping sliding around.

I have the VW item from the VW Accessories brochure: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/files/live ... sories.pdf

I have the 'flexible loadliner' which is made of what seems to be closed cell foam (a bit like camping mats) and although it does the job well and fits perfectly, I wonder how well it will survive if I put something heavy with sharp edges into it - like a tree trunk for instance. There's also a 'semi-rigid loadliner' which might have been a better choice for me. The price of mine was £53 and the semi-rigid one is £63.50. An awful lot of money for what it is, I'm sure VW could have offered it for a lot less, but it does fit very well.

I ordered the Flexible load liner with mine.. Part Number: 10A061160A and frankly it's like a piece of thin polystyrene packaging and has found it's way into my loft.
I had a more substantial Rubber mat 'Travall' from my Tiguan that I have discovered to my delight fits rather snugly. The width and the curve at the back of the boot are identical it's kust slightly too long but then sits over the gap once the seats are folded so I have resisted cutting it.
I also had a 'Hatchbag' from the same vehicle and i have removed the shaped sides and this fits the floor and the back of the seats rather well too.

I ordered the following from bootliners.co.uk:
https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/VW-VOLKSW ... LINER.html

It arrived before the car, but now fitted and seems like it'll do the job:

Boot Buddy, taken straight out of my TRoc

Three years old and tough as anything out there. Fits like a glove and only needed trimming to fit

The Hatchbag company - their Polo one fits pretty well. I bought mine as a return - £65

I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SHS2F5X

It fits the boot on my 1st Edition really well, which only has the lower boot position rather than the false floor.

The top straps go around the side headrests, the velcro patches on the sides go straight onto the car’s boot lining, and the flap hangs nicely out to avoid pooch catching the bodywork.

I've just got my ID.3 and I am considering what to use to keep the boot clean. I've heard mention about this false floor type mat. Has anyone got one, and what are they like? Are they any use to keep the charging cable safe? It's a real shame there is no compartment to put the cable in.
If the false floor is not worthwhile, then what is the next best thing? I've seen a couple of suggestions so far.

We have that false floor thing and it’s great for putting the cable in its bag under it, plus empty shopping bags and the usual junk that flaps around in the boot along with the granny charger.

When we had a loaner it didn’t have the false floor and it felt untidy but cavernous space.

If you get an official boot liner, make sure you get the semi rigid one, not the flexible one, which looks more like packaging and that it would last 5 mins vs the rubbery semi rigid one.

I'm still trying to work out which one it is amongst the ID.3 accessories! It's really annoying that they don't have pictures! https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners-and ... ccessories

I found a big piece of waxed card at work to keep the carpet clean and to keep my bits and bobs safe I’ve got a plastic storage box bungeed to the hooks all nice and tidy and still loads of space at a cost of about a fiver

There's 4 variants, 2 each of Flexible and semi rigid variants, 1 is for those cars without a variable boot floor (Life, Pure, maybe style?) and one is for the others with the raised floor. Avoid the flexible one, it looks and feels like high end packaging material rather than rubberised - looks like it won't last 5 mins.

I gave the part number of one of the flexi ones to avoid earlier in the thread.

There was an earlier topic on this theme and the member got an almost identical one from an outside supplier at almost half the price, I have had the roll up one for 7 months now with no problems, but I wouldn't recommend taking rubble to the tip with it

I have a Seat Leon boot mat and it fits perfectly in the ID3. If you ever see one of those cheap!
