I’m looking at getting an ID3 and wonder what the quality of the sound system is like? Price list/specs don’t say much about it which makes me think it might not be up to much.
Any views from current users?
Many thanks
Quality of the sound system?
Check which specs have 4.1 speakers and 6.1 speakers.
4.1 means none in the rear doors, the quality is good but not great - my previous Mercedes C350 and Seat Leon Cupra were both richer.
I’ve not been inside a car with 6.1.

4.1 in 1st Edition. One word. Disappointed.
ID.3 1st Edition, Manganese Grey Metallic. 2.1 Software update 7 April 2021. 2.3 OTA Software update 2 August 2021. Dealer installed 2.4 update & battery 29 July 2022. 3.0 OTA update 21 December 2022. 3.2 Dealer installed October 2023.
I believe the 1st Max spec sold in other countries (at a higher price) has them but VW UK didn’t take that model, our 1st Edition is the 1st Plus.

Yup, VW UK took that decision to keep the headline price of the car below £40k. But I really miss rear speakers. Such a bizarre choice by VW.

I pointed out to my dealer that my daughter's 11 year old Skoda Fabia estate has manual rear windows and 'key in lock' central locking, but it does have rear speakers.!!. I suggested that I maybe should have waited for the Skoda version of ID3... he was visibly embarrassed by have no answer!!
