It's time to speak to your dealer if you haven't already:

No contact from my dealer. In fact none since I took delivery in September. I’m not sure if I will contact immediately as I don’t want to be the first to get the update from a technician who may not have done this before.
But - I really miss CarPlay.

ID.3 1st Edition, Manganese Grey Metallic. 2.1 Software update 7 April 2021. 2.3 OTA Software update 2 August 2021. Dealer installed 2.4 update & battery 29 July 2022. 3.0 OTA update 21 December 2022. 3.2 Dealer installed October 2023.
My car has gone from the initial 0564 software to 0570 on a workshop visit in November, then from 0570 to 0783 (with CarPlay) on a second workshop visit last month, and I'm already booked in for this update on March 15th.
My experience is that it's been very beneficial to make a connection in the service centre at the dealer - they had a list of faults/issues/bugs from me prior to each of the 2 workshop visits, and there are 8 items on the list for visit on the 15th (as well as them attempting the 2.1 update)

My dealer says there is no update associated with my car.
I sent them the link too.
There is just zero communication between VW UK and the dealer network from what I can see.

Thanks for this - I went to the page you link to, and have contacted VW by e-mail. My interest here is knowing when new cars will be delivered with this software already applied. Having to return a car to a dealership would be a pain for me. Hoping to purchase an ID3 later this year.scott28tt wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:34 am It's time to speak to your dealer if you haven't already:

That will depend on the build week of the car, rumour has it the first build week for which the cars will have the 2.1 software is next week.

I understand all dealers have access to the information on the VW internal system, if so it's more a case of whether they bother to read it or not...

I have just spoken to my dealer and they have said only 1st movers will get this to start, and all others from March 10th.
I have mine booked in for March 15th.
Incidentally I had 0783 installed only yesterday which has given me Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and other useful options, but having just been playing around with the Infotainment screen I am no longer able to change my Background options - it says " This option is currently not available"
So 0783 gives but also takes away

Do you have over the Air updates already? I didn't think any previous version had this.
"We will also install software to enable ’over the air updates’ as part of this software package. This means that the car will not need to go to a retailer for minor software updates in the future. Furthermore WeShop purchased options will also be delivered directly to your car."
Yes, OTA availability after this update confirms that it is 2.1.
Plus, they're talking about timed charging so I assume it will work in 2.1 (it doesn't in 2.0)

I can't see the bit about OTA updates on the page I'm looking at
Timed charging and timed heating both work fine in my car.
