I'm reading the delivery times posts with interest.

Just ordered a ID3 Pro Performance Family in Moonstone Grey through my work and the estimated delivery time I've been given yesterday is 20 weeks by the leasing company. They have said the VW dealer will contact me next week to give me more information. In the meantime my wife test drove the same model this morning at our local VW dealer (as pre-arranged) and salesman said delivery time will be 7 to 9 months....but to plan for 9 months! Great! So that could be July/August next year. Not sure I would have placed the order if I'd known that and gone for a Kia E-Nero instead. Time will tell but the posts here fill me with pessimism really.

Ordered an ID3 Max in mid August, initial build estimate of mid November. Received a call in late October advising the build date has moved to mid December, now it’s mid January.

Shame VW communication and transparency is so poor, ordering one through a dealership was difficult enough in Norfolk!

I suppose the good news is you will have an MY 22.5 car. I also ordered my Tour in mid August and was told at the time mid Jan delivery but, that has slipped to late Feb (so far). I am also hopeful of getting an MY 22.5 upgraded interior. My leasing firm is being quite economical with information so I don't have a build date but I will put some pressure on them next week and see if they can tell me anything more!

Utumno, why don't you ask you dealer for a screenshot of your order?

I have. Flat refusal. Escalated to sales manager, still a flat refusal. Next stop the MD of Marshalls.

Cannot see why they would do that. There is nothing on it that is confidential, they could even crop it down to show just the status code and build week.
Very poor customer service.

I hate to post this (not really). I went to the dealer, had a test drive and he said they can offer a further £2,400 off the price if I took the one just delivered. My total discounts were £9,000. That was in May and am I delighted to have been able to take advantage of these offers, which included the full grant which has now gone. Only problem is the hopeless charging infrastructure on the motorways. Absolutely love it and have been offer £5,000 more than I paid, but never would sell.

This seems to be a Marshall’s issue. I also have a car on order with them (Basingstoke branch) and they seem to be having big delays to their orders being fulfilled. I see from Facebook other with orders after mine (higher order numbers and build week 40) ordering a Tour getting the phone call saying the car is being delivered and to come collect. When I ask about this with Marshall’s it’s pretty much stone silence.

I went from week 40 to week 51 build, to be told yesterday it’s back to a week 40 build. When I questioned the change all I get is a shrug of the shoulders and “we are checking daily.”

Asked how to go about cancelling order to be told sales manager in meeting and will call you back.. no call so chase today. Ring and told he’s not in, ask to speak to my salesman, she’s not in either. Ask to speak to someone else about it…cannot.

It’s literally ridiculous the complete lack of customer service I and others are receiving from VW and in particular this dealership brand.

Very poor customer service.

Only reason I can think of for this is that the screenshot won’t show what I’m being told it shows.

This doesn't sound like great news for cars arriving via Sheerness:

Might explain a previous post saying that ID.3’s are all going through Grimsby, though?

And remarkable that Unite is taking the approach of strongarming VW, using the time-honoured technique of “this all looks very flammable, wouldn’t it be a shame if it all caught fire” 😂

They're still shipping to Sheerness, but as I said previously, apparently not ID.3s

Or, I suspect, conveniently prioritising the zero emissions cars for EOY
