Hello all, new member anew new ID3 owner.

I have charged my car twice now, once with the 3 pin and once with a wall charger. Both times had the same issue which is where the charger does not release from the car after I have either manually stopped the charge or it’s reached 80%.

I somehow through pushing buttons and no real rhyme or reason been able to unplug but I assume there must be a “correct” way.

Help would be appreciated

I have to unlock the door to remove the charger cable.

I don’t have “release cable after charge” as I’ll forget to put it back on when out on the road.

Try simply pressing the open door button on the key. Cable should release. Unplug from car first.

Press the unlock button on the key TWICE in quick succession.

Somewhere I saw TRIPLE press. :?
I had this problem once, when I tried to increase the max to 90% through the app.
Then tried to stop in car, took charger out of wall, put it back, tried to find emergency release under upholstery.
At last could disconnect and afterwards read about dual or triple button.
Haven't been problem any more, maybe 2.1 changed sth.
