Yes, I too was told by my dealer that they are currently doing the 23 update. Originally, he said my Max was due to be built in July, but thinks it's more likely October now. On the plus side, at least I'll get the extra sensors etc.

I'm in a decent position because I currently have a ID3 Family to use while I wait for my main order.

Just had an update with the dealership this afternoon and had couple of interesting points come out of it, so I thought to share those here:

1.) VW is introducing 2023 update, so any order don't have a confirm build date have been put to status 00. She explained that orders will be slotted back once the 2023 update finish in couple of weeks. (not sure what to make of it.)

2.) Government Grant (for order before December 2021), VW is currently in discussion with the government requesting further extension, allowing delivery which is over 12 months since order to be honoured. VW is awaiting confirmation from the government.

So in summary, my Sept 21's order has no confirm build date and no sure if the grant will be honoured if it is longer than 12 months from order (which is likely).

My dealer also said the price is fixed. The grant is another story. I ordered around the same time as you, I expect we'll be outside the 12 month grant window when it's delivered.

Provisional build week 28 (so in July) so now fingers crossed that is confirmed in the next week or 2

The £2.5k and the VW finance contribution of £1750 are the only reasons that I have not jumped ship already, if either or both were to be withdrawn because VW cannot organise a piss up in a brewery never mind vehicle production, then the shit would hit the wall!

Whilst I am happy for you to have positive news, this epitomises the way VW have failed to organise vehicle production, same model on alloys ordered over a month after mine with an order number higher than mine but my car goes further away, you get good news whilst I get bad. Enjoy it when it comes, I will keep being envious every time I see one on the road

Hate to be cynical but VW and particularly the dealer would probably love that. They can probably shift the car for around 10k more than I'm paying. It hopenim wrong but I'll probably find myself somewhere between a rock and a hard place come delivery time.

TBH after this long, I’m not holding my breath for a miracle, but as this is the first time since order that I’ve ever had anything beyond a status 00, it was worth telling

At a guess, VW asking dealers not to place orders for cars without customers because of the backlog.

TBH after this long, I’m not holding my breath for a miracle, but as this is the first time since order that I’ve ever had anything beyond a status 00, it was worth telling

My dealer was telling me that he placed an order to a Status 20 ID4 for a customer for it to suddenly go to status 00, VW do not seem to understand that is why people will go elsewhere.

Collected my Tour today after waiting 11 months and 2 weeks for a car the dealer told us we'd have within 6-8 weeks of ordering!

Glad it's finally arrived, lovely car to drive and such a relaxing experience that I'm actually looking forward to my first long (3hr) commute in the car tomorrow.

For those interested, ordered at the start of July 21, car delivered mid June 22, it's MY22.5 with updated seat fabric, software is 2.3, 19in wheels have Continentals on.

I'm surprised it's MY22.5. Tours have better seats anyway, so could you see if you have sensors on the wheel arches? We are yet to see a MY22.5 car on this forum without software 3.0, so you would be the first with a mismatch (from my memory).
