Can anybody advise me the We Charge Go Ionity rate per kwh in Euro, please?

I recently used a charger twice. First time I was charged €21.52 for 19.65 kwh. Second time I was charged €12.96 for 13.96 kwh.

I believe the rate is £0.45 per kwh which is approx €0.52. But I have been charged €1.095 and €0.92.

I have queried with We Charge, but nothing from them as yet.

Any suggestions?

I will watch the answer to this with interest as I was just about to take out a WeCharge contract

Wecharge Go changed for new contracts a few months back. If you already had a contract then, Ionity is 45p/kWh and everything else is full price. If you have taken out a contract since, then all other DC stations on wecharge are 45p but Ionity is full price (69p.)
The Euro prices are rough equivalents... 45p becomes 55c.
You can see your prices by opening the WeConnectID app and clicking on a charging station on the map. This includes in France.

With a new contract now, to get cheap Ionity you need wecharge plus.

Even the plus plan is worth the extra money with the amount of mile I do. Doesn't take that many miles to get the annual cost back and on our summer trip to France we would have recouped about 75% in just 2 weeks.

I'm also hopeful that within 12 months the car will be on 3.1 and then 'plug and charge' will work

Yer, I think Plus looks very good if you do high mileage. It gets you a big discount at other providers on wecharge as well as Ionity.

Thanks for that. I have checked and the rate is shown as 69c per kwh.

So instead of being charged €21.52 for 19.65 kwh it should be €13.56, and second should be €9.63 instead of €12.96 for 13.96 kwh.

Is it unreasonsble to expect to be charged accurately and consistently?

Further to this and following emails from Elli support it appears that Ionity in France charges per second at €0.009, of €0.52 per minute.

This is irrespective of charge rate. This charger has a claimed rate of 350kwh. Having checked it appears the maximum rate I achieved was about 41kwh, and the charges based on per second is correct.

The lesson from this for me is to not use We Charge for Ionity in France as the time based rate is a lottery. Charge Point quotes €0.69 kwh, so that is what I will use in future.

Interesting, I knew this used to be the case but I thought this had all changed since a couple of months back and that they were now all charging per kWh. Maybe some sites haven't caught up yet.

I have just cancelled my We Charge Plus contract whilst I can and will have a calculate over the time on a charger vers kwh. In general in France I saw great speeds 129kwh max and its only at 80% it drops off to very low number. The cost of charging from 80% to circa 100% could then get quite expensive.

And I know you should not charge beyond 80% on a rapid charger however, sometimes the next step is far enough away to need more charge

I looked at some transactional history on Electric Juice which shows the duration of the charge in minutes and for me this still works out cheaper using WeCharge Plus at the per second rate. The gap is obviously better charging from 10% to 80% than it is thereafter however for every charge I made there is no loss.
