VW ID.3 Max
Cars seem to be moving at last, though still no sign of a max or a tour. I still have my estimated build week 5 and haven't been told of a slip as yet. Here is to hoping for a run of tours early 2023.

Hi Folks!
Just a question about the terminology on an ID.3 order we have with our local dealer.
I've just heard from the dealer that our ID.3 ordered 31st Oct 2021 has changed from a "wk3 2023" build to "TBC".
Does anyone have any experience of what "TBC" actually means? Does it mean the order has been pushed further away or is it on the verge of being built? Has anyone else had this?
By the way I know "TBC" means "To Be Confirmed". I'm just trying to find out what that means in the context of a VW order.
Thanks!

In VW speak, I think TBC means your expected delivery date will 'Totally Be Changed'

I'd imagine mines either week 50 or 49 build given my order was only slightly before yours, so if there are no delays prior to factory shutdown, I'd imagine end of Jan/start of Feb we may have some new wheels!

Is that you factoring in just the delivery time from a status 20 week 47?
Not had an update since the start of the week but was status 10 for week 47, with the exact same spec of car.
Yeah, going by the pattern on here of 6-8 weeks from build to delivery, plus trying to just remain optimistic.
Had a moment where the lease company contacted me today with an update saying it was unconfirmed build week 50, emailed them straight back questioning it, and called the dealer who told me that the lease company had just sent me the update the dealer had supplied at the beginning of October, before receiving an apology email from the lease company.

Hopefully I'll be in the same boat, hopefully literally. Mines a family pro (non performance), east derrys, moonstone but its a 19/11 order. Hopefully this thing that they seem to be building batches of familys holds out for mine if yours is confirmed or whatever.CG38 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:51 pmYeah, going by the pattern on here of 6-8 weeks from build to delivery, plus trying to just remain optimistic.

Looking at various forums on Facebook week 50 seems to be the week a lot of Family Pro performance are being built.knade wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 3:00 pmHopefully I'll be in the same boat, hopefully literally. I just got an email saying my order will be with the dealers over the next few days soo I guess it's in the UK somewhere lol not quite sure where would take days to travel from but beggars can't be choosers.
Not really sure how much longer I'll have to wait but I estimate I won't see the car for a week or so starting to get the excited kid feeling again after 13 months

I've had the screenshot sent through this morning showing status 20 for week 47 after all the confusion between the dealer and the lease company.
It does seem though, like a few months ago, where they are just doing a big batch of similar models.
Honestly can't wait to get the car and stop relying on public transport.

It’s nearly 7 week since my build date & still status 38 sat at Emden!CG38 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:51 pmYeah, going by the pattern on here of 6-8 weeks from build to delivery, plus trying to just remain optimistic.

Told to expect it in December , I’d guesstimate 10 to 12 Week from build to collection? Or maybe I’ve been unlucky.
Strange really as there are week 39 builds actually being handed to customers this week.
It’s a total pisstake.

You ordered a week before me. Same model. Mines is still status 10 and potential BW is moving further away. You will have your car soon enough.

So, two weeks ago I got an update from the lease company to say that my December 21 order was due to be built March 2023. They've just now emailed to say that the car will be with the dealer 31/11/22!? So that means that the car has presumably been built? And had possibly been built two weeks ago when they said it'd be next year?
