It’s been 18 hours since the new ID.3 Launch and not a single post asking when/how software 3.5 will be coming to “old models” 🤣🤣🤣

I was wondering why they needed to put 'ID.3' right in the centre of the dash between the vents but then I remembered that it had been so long for some of the orders to come through that new drivers had to be reminded what car they had actually bought.

Lolz. I've seen a few in other places. Along with "can I retrofit the new bumper" which is standard practice around here for old audis and bmws - diy facelift.

I have to say that I'd just about had a gutful of VW's broken promises about OTAs and their relentless promises about these shiny new EVs that were coming. If I wasn't so cynical, I'd have said they were diversionary tactics to keep people looking at the shiny new things, in order to keep the press from looking into their failings 😏
Anyway, seeing their latest promise of the updated ID.3 has mellowed me! I have to say that it looks to me as if they're getting somewhere and the tweeks they've done seems to be positive ones. I like the promise of fuss-free charging and the quality of the interior. It's only my ha'porth but, I'm warming to VW again, as if my opinion matters! 😁
The MK1 Golf is cherished more than the MK2 Golf, in certain circles, and I wonder if the MK1 ID.3 will be cherished in the same way in years to come? No, I'm guessing 😁
I love the car and its never let me down; it's just VW's false promises that have frustrated me.

The number 5 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m not sure even VW know what their software versions do anymore.

Don't know but wouldn't ban on it.
What our older cars will get though, is a devaluation. And they haven't even been out 3 years. Is this another ".........gate" for VW?
