Yup.. tried closing the boot on my phone and keys too many times so stopped using the tray. Though that could lead to locking them in the boot so not sure which is worse.

I'm not the only one then. Did nearly lose my phone when the wife decided to try and close the boot while I was using the handy shelf as a phone holder while changing shoes.

You can also store your iphone there! I rested my phone there face up and cos its black shut the boot on it. Thought I had lost my phone until opened the boot to do a search.

Not recommended.
