I have pondered having new cars ceramic coated before but always decided against it as I usually end up trading in within three years.
However now having been very happy with my previous 58kW Family Pro, I decided to go for a 77kW Tour and (maybe) keep this long term.

So I decided this was the car to have machine polished and coated and having just given it its first wash since it was coated I am delighted with the results.

That's very impressive.

As I have the same car (I think the white with black accents is one of the better colours), would you mind telling how much it cost, if done professionally.

Thanks, Rob

This is the process for New cars of the detailer I used.

A new car detail includes a paintwork decontamination, a single stage machine polish to remove any swirling inflicted during the prep stage. When finished, a ceramic coating is applied with a choice of 2, 3 or 5 years protection.

I went for the 3 year at £650
– Single stage machine polish
– GTechniq CSL basecoat with Exo V4 topcoat
– Glass coatings
– Wheel faces coated with GTechniq C5

2 year is £550

Does this invalidate the warranty at all?

Why would it, its not a modification. If you mean the paintwork dealers offer this service so no it won't.
