Heated steering wheel defaults to being on

Hi,
Not a terrible problem but every time I power up the car the heated steering wheel is always on meaning that I have to go into the Clima menu to switch it off as well as turning off the annoying lane assist thing. Anyone know how to switch this off? It's happened ever since Listers VW had it for a warranty job, I'd take it back but they always have to have the car for a day, always give me a dinosaur juice burning courtesy car and change £25 for the courtesy car insurance.

There are two functions that turn it on (at different temperatures apparently).
In the app, settings menu, there is a function called zones. This includes the heated wheel.
In the car, in the climate menu, there is a settings cog at the top. It might only appear when your hand is near the screen. This contains some options including a separate function for the steering wheel heater to automatically come on.
If you turn both of those things off, it won't come on.
