Delivery time

Took delivery of my id3 today, can't believe it's finally arrived... Love it and glad I didn't cancel.

Had big issues connecting the app but after uninstalling the app, resetting the car's system and rebooting the car (lock, leave for 10 minutes, then return), reinstalling the app, manually inputting the VIN it then worked without any problems!

I tried going to a local dealer for help with the app but they were extremely grumpy given it's a lease order and thus they don't see any money. Their solution was to put it in for service, thankfully a bit of googling by me found the answer.

Just been told my confirmed build week 26 Family PP has been released from the factory and will be slowly makings its way over!

Do you mind sharing what date in October your order got confirmed?

Just had another update (5 weeks after last one) to say my estimated date just got pushed back another week from week 37 to week 38. So now 19th September maybe to start build for an order from 29th Aug 2021 for my Tour. Considering it was an in flight existing order for delivery in Nov, perhaps the joke ‘what year?’ Really did apply!

yes same as i have was week 25 then week 27 now week 37 order 4th october 2021 family extras derry alloys and the blue cant remember the name of blue been so long since ordring

Ordered Family Stonewashed Blue Pro Performance 8th October 2021. Was initially told Jan Feb delivery date but that soon went to build week 22 with delivery week 27. Was told that it was in the country just waiting for PDI. Then told build week is 41 ish which now takes it to 12 months since ordered. Are people jumping the queue?

Here I am sitting here this morning thinking it’s 39 weeks and no sign of my id3 being born when I get a phone call from dealer telling me my car is built and on it’s way to ship and hopefully be with me in 4/6 weeks even the dealer wasn’t expecting that , August build late sept delivery. Reasons to be cheerful

Have you had a reply from c e o vw uk about your order because there seems to be real problem with your order when all orders around about same time as yours seem to have been fulfilled

Yea, apparently it’s because of the chip situation and ukraine funnily enough….. yet everyone else who’s ordered the same spec seems to get theirs just fine,

The executive office have requested priority with the factory, but they have stated this is clearly a request and not a given.

Our build was week 26, next week we start week 29, VW system still saying week 26 build status 10.

God knows, personally I think it’s built/being built and will just turn up.

I am based in ROI so dealer may not be relevant to yourself. But order placed in first week of January and given a build week of 42 - 46 there was very little movement in the order when I asked for updates. I had registered on the vw website and entered commission number and about a month ago a VIN number appeared beside my order. Dealer called this week to arrange handover. I was told it is one of the last 77kwh id3 as they were removed from the VW website very soon after I ordered.

The VW tracker was removed after they stopped basing it on facts and began to predict dates based upon runes, seaweed and tea leaves.

hey all

apologies for the delay. vehicle was delivered on Thursday 30th and been playing about all week with settings etc. lovely drive, although tyres were on 46 each so definitely check them when you get your cars.

Found an envelope in the glovebox with so vw documents inside but its all in german obviously but it has a date of 16th may 2022 on it.

software is 2.3 as we thought and can't get the on board charging setting working with my indra smart charger. so turned that all off as well.

definitely is my22 as it started week 40 22.

got part built and had to wait for further parts like alot of the 22 tours and maxs.

My order number was also higher than yours. ending 31401221 i think

For sure if my max is a 22 and not a 22.5, miffed won’t even begin to quantify the response the dealer will be met with. VW customer care spun me the normal line regarding how apologetic they were and they’ve made a request to the factory. I struggle to see how such a large corporation has little to no idea regarding build dates. I may just p*ss into the wind and ask mystic Meg for an update.

It's not a tracker. It's on the VW, (my volkwagen section) it may be different in the UK website.
