How long will you wait?

I had a wee thought while commenting elsewhere.

Some people here have already received their car and may be thinking of replacing it.

Others have been waiting a long time and still haven't a clue when/if it will ever arrive.

So, when you place your next order how long would you be prepared to wait for the car to arrive?

I’m now in too deep, ordered 12th August 21, current lease keeps being extended and have liked to order something else. Issue is if now be waiting similar/longer for what’s available currently on the lease scheme.

For sure frustrated and have no wiggle room available to switch without potentially waiting beyond the ID3, no existent time frame.

I’d not want to wait 18-24months but they’ve got me over a barrel.

I was very lucky then,ordered my tour pro on 15th august 21 and received it 30th June 22,am surprised people who ordered with me in august 21 still haven’t got their cars yet .
Can only wait 12 months for a car unless I have no choice at all.

I certainly don’t think I’d wait 18 months for a car but luckily enough we didn’t have too, we ordered ours July 21 and they found stock so picked it up the following week

I've waited this long now to even contemplate cancelling. If the dealership had told me I'd be waiting over a year instead of the 4 or 5 months then I would never have entertained ordering the id3.

Usually I'd be alright waiting up to 6 months for a car but I've never had to wait that length of time.

What about your next car? I'm thinking of people who have now had their car for 18 - 24 months and now know that people are having to wait 15 - 18+ months. Will that wait be factored into when you order your next car?

The ones in second year of their leases need to start looking for a car now if they are changing cars otherwise they end up without a car in a year or so.
The waiting for cars is here to stay for at the least 2 or 3 years to come .

I’m currently not looking but I wouldn’t wait that long, the dealer we got the car from have offered me an id4 or id5 with delivery within a month. Not sure if these are cancellations or stock cars
