WeConnect ID app update
The app got another update but this time something actually changed (!).
The "Air Conditioning" option is no longer available on the second tab. I believe this is only for anyone on 2.4 but those who are on 3.0 get a new version of the app (it's all confusing).
Can anyone on 3.0 confirm what the app looks like?

It does indeed look better and seems to sync faster too.
ID.3 1st Edition, Manganese Grey Metallic. 2.1 Software update 7 April 2021. 2.3 OTA Software update 2 August 2021. Dealer installed 2.4 update & battery 29 July 2022. 3.0 OTA update 21 December 2022. 3.2 Dealer installed October 2023.
I'm not too sure yet about the synching. I think I have seen the problem where it doesn't show the same available mileage as the car, but I will have to keep an eye on it to be sure.Abadgermac wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 11:57 am It does indeed look better and seems to sync faster too.

Thanks! It looks great. Does that show and/or send a notification to your phone if the doors are left open?

Not that I know of. Wouldn’t that be too advanced for VW software engineers? Engineers! What am I talking about?
If Tronity can report the odometer reading, why can’t the WeConnect app?
Eh? The app definitely shows if your door, boot or window are left open, once you have 3.0. It also shows if the car is locked or not. It did all this before.

Ah, looking back he asked both. It does show them but you are right there is no notification.

Lol fair point. I ask because someone with an ID4 has the notifications feature (and most other modern cars too).Scratch wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 4:58 pmNot that I know of. Wouldn’t that be too advanced for VW software engineers? Engineers! What am I talking about?

My bad. I checked again and they were actually talking about a "myVW" app. No idea what that even is as it doesn't show up in the App Store. Maybe a US only thing? VW really like to make it difficult for themselves.

The myVW app was something we had here a few years ago. It worked in conjuntion with an OBD type port which VW gave away with a new car or they charged £10 for them. It is now the We Connect app for ice vehicles and of course We Connect ID for the ID range.

Does anyone know when the Android version will be released?
It was released today, version 3.0.0.The_Navigator wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 7:42 pm Does anyone know when the Android version will be released?
Seems to be working very well for me. Sending a location worked earlier, the response when setting preheat is improved and it's much snappier moving around the map.
Annoyingly just updating it in the normal way doesn't seem to work. You have to actually delete it and then reinstall from the Play store.

I try to delete and unstall .but still 2...9
Max PRO Moonstone Grey August 2021. Software v3.2 [dealership]
Strange, maybe it's still in the process of being rolled out. I have the updated app on both my phone and tablet, the tablet is about 5 or 6 versions of android behind the phone so if they both get something it usually means it's pretty universal
