For how long does the shop say this after the 3.2 update?

Can it be provoked into actually offering anything by some jiggery-pokery?

We had an email from VW today after I contacted them about this exact issue:
Thank you for your response and the information provided.

We are sorry to hear the troubleshooting steps did not immediately resolve your issue, however we will gladly assist you further.

Indeed the reason you are unable to access the online services of your vehicle is directly tied to the We Connect and We Connect Plus licenses not being activated.

Kindly double check if there are any updates for the In-Car Shop available. To do that, from the main menu of the infotainment system, swipe down from top to bottom, then from right to left, checking for a notification regarding the update. If there is a notification, please click on it and perform the update. When the update is completed, leave and lock the vehicle for at least 15 minutes again and then check if the issue has been resolved.

In case you are still not able to access the In-Car shop or there was no update, please kindly visit the webshop from the link below and try different browsers. Make sure the cache and cookies of the browser are cleared first before accessing the webshop.

In the unfortunate event the webshop does not show the We Connect contracts, please be so kind and follow the steps below:
Perform a factory reset of your infotainment system by navigating to Home → Settings → Restore to factory settings.
Become the primary user by adding your vehicle on the We Connect ID application and following the on-screen instructions.
Activate the We Connect and We Connect Plus licenses through the In-Car shop first, and afterwards the webshop if there are issues with the In-Car shop.
If the licenses still do not show up on either shop, please provide us with the following information for further investigation:
A new screenshot of the error message you receive, along with an updated exact timestamp (date and time) of your latest attempt.
A photo of the LED light next to the SOS button.
A photo of the software version of your infotainment system (Menu → Settings → System Information).
A photo of the version of the In-Car shop by navigating to Menu → Users → Setup/Settings → Privacy Settings and Services -> Long press the (i) icon on the top right corner for at least 5 seconds.

It doesn't work for me, with neither the car shop or the web shop showing any products.

I have sent VW all the info they wanted - screenshots/photos etc and will wait to see what they say. Getting annoying now that they can't even update software without major issues.

I got asked to:

“ Before proceeding, please ensure that the following settings are in place within your ID.3:
The LED bulb for the SOS button is lit green when ignition switch is on (located near the rear view mirror).
The vehicle is not parked in a dead zone such as an underground car park.

Open your We Connect ID. app and log in.
Ensure that the information has been updated.”

However…….

Toggling the privacy settings off/on followed by a reboot of the infotainment system worked for me. I didn’t have to follow all the other suggestions of a 15 min drive etc.
