Sat Nav not working

VW sat nav and Apple sat nav via CarPlay have not worked now for two months, keeps saying no data for this area. Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Did you get the prompt to go to the shop and sign up/install/activate the free modules?
I did wonder what would happen if one did not.

Does Apple sat nav work on the phone when you are walking etc?

No I don’t recall getting the prompt. Apple Maps work fine when out walking.

Do you have location services on in the car?

Location services? I’ve gone through all the settings and can’t find this. We has a right performance syncing the car to ‘ Intelligent Go’

We just took delivery of a new ID3 and the sat nav and connect services don’t work. The sat nav thinks we are hundreds of miles away! Google maps works fine on car play. Garage had the car for 5 days now and think it may be a faulty aerial. You would think the cars would be quality checked before they are given to customers.

I took the car into the VW dealership. Problem identified as SOS Control Unit not working. Luckily I have a few months of warranty left so I don’t have to pay just under £1k!
