Ohme Home charger offline 11 days

[Up the jumper]

My Ohme Home charger has been offline for 11 days. I have hard rebooted, uninstalled the app etc etc but to no avail. Ohme tech support have requested various random pics of the installation, but as yet not resolved the issue. The charger has worked fine for 2.5 years so I don't see how the installation can have any impact......
I believe the issue may be related to the SIM/4g connection. My phone alongside the charger has 2 bar strength. That has been consistent since install.

Any suggestions?

No idea, sorry. Mine went offline once (and the screen went blank) after they had updated the firmware remotely, but a reset by pressing all three buttons on the front for a while brought it back to life.
Does it still charge if you plug in? If so you should just be able to use it as a dumb point and schedule via the car.

It does work as a dumb charger. No method of reboot makes any difference. I also suspect firmware, but Ohme want to disconnect the charger for benchtesting. They are proposing leaving me without a charger for the duration.....not ideal.

Why not just tell them to go away, and use it as a dumb charger? I wouldn't let them take mine away unless I knew it was only for a day or two. With an ID3 you can programme everything just as well via the car. I guess it's different if you have another car that can't do the scheduling itself.

So I told OHME that it was not acceptable to be without a charger. After a bit of to and fro they replaced the charger and all is now working. I now think it was a sim failure rather than firmware. Whatever, I have a functional charger!
